I'll second that. I spend weeks trying to make the best decision on matching up a filter/blower before finding out about FFU. Those Meyer's units are an amazing buy. Plus 2x4 is a dream to work in front of.

I'm doing 6 bags folded not sealed with raised trivet on the bottom (two rows of rings underneath) and two ceramic plates on top to weigh it down. I read a couple posts about letting the heat come down too fast will cause them to expand/pop and admittedly I'm just shutting the heat off after 3 hours then carrying it over to my FH to cool. Does this seem like its probably my issue or are there any tricks that I should know about?
a75x is next on the purchase list but I need to ease the spending for at least a month or two and make this work or just go back to jars until I pony up.
Try turning your heat down you must have a gas stove.... I get alot of messages about popped bags try wrapping the bags in foil and turn the heat down works like a charm. And a 75x is amazing I haven't had a issue with my 25x also it is beautiful to just set the timer to 4 hours with the vent open then come back in 25mins you close the vent and can leave it over night because it vacuum seals the bags perfectly. It's worth the spending plus you can do 6 5qt bags in the 75x. You might want to order early because I'm on a 3 week backorder for mine. But when it gets here I'm gonna be pumping out 10 bags a day while asleep. Now just need to figure out how to make my substrate a easy task.
So idea here guys.... What if you get a small commercial water heater that goes up to 160°f and just use the hot tap water for the substrate? Instead of boiling 4.5qts to one brick and 2 qt verm? I mean we heat up to 180° then dump it to drop it to 150-60. I been using a 26qt oyster Crock-Pot. 2 hours at 150 but that takes alot of time... Alot!

I'll give the foil and lower heat a try, I have 3 bags prepped right now so that will be my test.
I used to boil water for my substrate but I recently stopped and only do hot tap water. Works just as well and I save a bunch of time. I throw everything into a hardware store plastic bucket with a sealing lid and come back to mix it up when I have time. The only thing I pasteurize now is the casing layer for my PE.

With coir sometimes I’ll boil the water and add maybe 2/3 of it, then an hour or so later dump the rest in. That way the coir still gets cooked pretty well and the second batch of water cools it down so I can use it right then.
Probably totally unnecessary but way back I read that myc likes cooked coir better and just always did it like that.

See I wanted to run 2 26qt crock pots hour and a half and it's done 1 crockpot can do one full 66qt tub. Since it's only about 12qts worth of sub and it heats it to a even 150-167. I use it for my BK cow manure. And coir. I might go back to bucket tek but it seemed I had alot more contams doing that usally on the third flush. But it might also be the eco earth coir I use iv heard bad things. Currently switched to the other brand from Amazon but God it is expensive. $28 for 5 bricks. Vs petsmart at 7.67 for 3 bricks delivered shipped free if you buy like me at 15 3 packs.

If you have a local grow shop near you see if they carry CannaCoir. So much cheaper than eco each and very consistent quality.

I was super paranoid when I first started so the only thing I bought online was a case of petris. The hydro shop by me also specializes in brewery supplies, so I went by and picked up my first pack of coir and malt.
The cashier asked me if I wanted to open an account for discounts later and I didn’t even think about why I wasn’t ordering everything online until halfway through giving them my email. I ended up panicking and just changing the last couple numbers after the main part. I think she could tell cause I paused for a minute when I realized what I was doing.
I just order everything online now....

Yeah but being paranoid is a good thing. I just go into shops every once in awhile and say I'm buying coir from my snakes.

I'm dieing laughing right now. I mainly started boarding my stuff off of chewy good prices and the deliver I have about 60 blocks of coir right now need about 140 more..... Trying to stock up for the rest of the year I'm trying to try for the first time 80 tubs in rotation for a month..... Should be fun since my 4000ml of Lc is done and finished 30 5qt spawn bags. 12 of which are 100% and going to tubs today 3 at 85% and 15 at 17-30%. Then going back to 5 tubs a week.
