Even if we could magically remove the Uncle Ben's tek from the site, someone would simply come up with a more lazy and dumb replacement.
The best thing to do is encourage people to grow with legitimate, proven methods that produce time and time again.
I hear you though, I hate Uncle Ben too.

That actually might be the case. All of the mushrooms that have the stripe are real close to the wall where condensation has been running down onto the sub.

Grain jars fill with over hydrated grain put in oven at 260° for 4 hours then knock them up like my baby daddy did to me lol. And it had a 70% success rate!
I didn't even realize it was on the boards. I thought reddit just ripped ass and it wafted over here.
Even if it were removed reddit would send another sub par tek over to be improved on.

I got confused about over hydration and those stripes too but eventually came to the conclusion that the kind you have are totally normal.
If you find pics of a seriously over hydrated grow the stipes have a lot of hairline brown stripes on them, almost woodgrain looking. I’m assuming those are what was meant by stripes are a sign of over hydration and it got mixed up over time.
The fat pinstripe kind like you have on yours have shown up in most of my tubs even super dry ones.

And trippy times, what’s up w/ the uncle Ben hate? Just curious. I know that this isn’t popular in the community and am a noob wondering why. The first time I used ryeberries and compost, just trying other methods.
Sorry just has a panic attack to me uncle ben's and grow kits are in the same category. Everytime I hear about one my eye starts twitching lol. The issue I have with the hate on it it for the price people pay for those packs you could have bought 50lbs of oats and some jars. Assuming they are $2.50 a piece. oats $11 jars $12. Learning how to g2g and be successful priceless! I mean for 10 bags $25 that's crazy? There is so so much good info on this for for just about everything. I mean you can learn extraction processes. How to grow just about any mushroom. You can make everything from mdma to dmt. But I seems that people want uncle ben's! Not hate for you just hate on the tek. I came to this form and went straight to monotubs never even pf tek.

I just poured a stack and ended up getting agar on the lip some plates because the agar would flow down the threads and back towards my hand when I lifted back up. Ive never seen this happen with media bottles before. Some of my rings are slightly warped but this one looks fine so I’m not sure why it’s doing this.
Has anyone else had agar run down their media bottle as if the no drip ring isn’t there?

Good to see your grows progressing, Doctor Mario! For the tub you posted a pic of yesterday, I'll vote "high humidity". Notice how it's happening to the ones right next to the condensanted wall of the tub?
I had this happen to a few fruits from this shoebox I just harvested yesterday—stripey ones near the walls of the box. The ones with the vertical stripes wound up being completely hollow, so I think the stripe was a tear or weak spot in the stem. The hollowness is another sign of high humidity. You might consider skewing your lid or dubtub slightly? Your surface conditions look great from that pic, otherwise!

Sounds about right. Theres a lot of stems with fuzzy feet as well. Last night I flipped the lid over and didnt like the size of the gap it created. I took a real small drill bit and put 3 holes in the lid. One in the center and one on each end. Almost all of the other tubs pinned yesterday 😁

I use a ball pour lid for this reason

I’m already too invested with my media bottles to switch now lol. They’re usually great. Maybe there was too much load on the system this morning and the simulation had to throttle physics to compensate

Thanks !
They pinned normaly, about 3 weeks when put in monotubs.
What could it be ? Could it actually be APE ?
How would I know ??
