If I have 4 lb of rye berries and 10 lb of compost, would this be a good ratio and what size mono tub would be ideal?

But they are all kinda small and narrow, is that normal for KSS?
Grew five shoeboxes of KSSS looking for something to clone, two different vendors for the spores. Never found anything I'd consider worth keeping.
Whats the sell with this strain anyway, its been around a long time
What is it supposed to be like?

Okay, thank you. I remember reading that they were known for their tall, slim fruits. They had a very narrow cone and good looking, but small.

Searched this question but no answer.
How many grams of dry coir then hydrated does it take to fill up a quart jar?
For example, some one has 1 quart of BRF cakes (4 half pints) and wants to do a 1:1 shoe box bulk with CVG how much dry coir should they put in their mix?
Thx

Just hydrate some coir and then measure it with a jar, dry weight is irrelevant. The ratios are by volume, not dry weight.
You may be confusing the coir ratios with the water to grain ratios which can be measured by weight.

Are you worried about making too much? Just put some water on coir and use what you get. If you need more, make more. Don't complicate this.

Just throw water on some coir til it’s field capacity, measure by volume with a jar. If you need more make more, if you have too much, you could still use it within a week or toss it in the garden.

Exactly what munch said. Just grab a bowl large enough to hold what would reasonably turn into a quart, hydrate it with warm water to expand while mixing and squeezing for proper moisture. Add water or coir as needed. If you make too much just save it for next time.

For small mushrooms a good trick is to soak some toothpicks in water, then pu the cap on foil, with a shot glass on top and a toothpick inside.

Yeah I'm just trying not to waste any. We aren't allowed to go to the shops in my city at the moment to buy anything besides food. All retail is closed. Due to covid.
I need to poor boiling water on it and leave for 1 hour before spawning in my sealed bucket.
I thought it would be common knowledge. I'll just have to waste some, all goods

Just hit 6 PF jars of the rust spore! Can’t wait man. Haven’t done this in like four years. Brings back memories boomers around Christmas time.
Sorta funny story I basically got ransacked and robbed about a heat after I made my shroomery account. Dude wanted my shit but I took all that with me. Still got broken into. But dude never got my shit. Anyway.

You don't need boiling water and anything that you make can be used again.
