Cubensis wood peg to spent tea bag, no modifications. Tea leaves nutrients (per 100g dry): https://frida.fooddata.dk/food/537?lang=en

----
Common carbon sources: https://imgur.com/a/8jngxe8 (1st plant, 2-3rd more separated). Tea contains no starch, and trace sugar (sugar alcohols). The main carbon sources are: cellulose and tea phenols. There is also up to 3.2% nitrogen, and plenty of other nutrients.
The peg is much the same but only 0.1% nitrogen, very low like coir and paper.
----
Note: Starch and cellulose are composed equally of glucose (carbohydrate), just in different arrangements.
----
Cubensis wedge to T-Gel (tea phenol agar), no starch sugar or cellulose, with white-rot.

Tea (extract): https://frida.fooddata.dk/food/115?lang=en
----
How's that for primary decomposition?

Looks really wet. How are you "watering"? A couple sprays of mist is usually sufficient.
Watering with litte run off hope it's OK

I've noticed good security on a couple shroomers videos and, because I'm hoping to post also, I've followed the video to YT where it sez, "This channel doesn't have any content".
That's what I'm talkin 'bout. Also it sez, Gourmet xfers unlisted. Is that it there, all I have to do is find the unlist button or not publish it?
So along with an encrypted email service and an alias name I'd be ready to post. Right?
You have essentially just outlined the process I used to upload a video to the video-based general cultivation thread. Sounds like you're on track for good opsec.
Yes you can select the option when you upload to make it "only viewable to those with the link" and it won't be on regular youtube. You can just post the link in here and let shroomerites view away! I think getting a bit more video intensive on this site would be hugely beneficial for a LOT of people. Let's carry the shroomery a little bit more into this century!
Break out those cameras boys! Hope to see you all in there!

Ok quick question. Am I the only one who works with a flowhood and thinks how can this keep everything clean. I mean I pour plates with my ketchup cups open then put on lids and no issues. It's like a act of God! Anyone else feel weird after working in a sab for so long then going to flowhood?

When a shroom drops its spores, are all those spores identical genetics of that mushroom? Or is every spore carrying different genes?
Or does say every mushroom in a mono tub have the same genes because it's all linked together as one life form?
Or does every single mushroom have its own unqie genetic profile but slightly similar like brothers and sisters from the same parents?
Thanks
The latter. Nothing in the universe defies this principle. (maybe that's a bit of a stetch. I'll have to think about it.)

I’m going to be frank; I’ve seen you going on about T gel, wood pegs, paper substrates, etc yet I haven’t the slightest idea where you’re going with all this. So far it looks like a lot of R&D to grow a small number of fruits. Most people here are here for the end harvest. The journey is fun, but the goal is fruits. So far I’ve seen absolutely nothing that suggests this translates into a harvest. I’ve seen glimmers of things that you’ve uncovered that might hold some interest for some people on a practical level but those aren’t really being explored.
Research and understanding of biological process is great but if it cannot translate into results it’s not much use to most people here. I once accidentally grew cubes on a wood based medium, very little flour or added supplements. The fruits grew and sporulated. But the yield was crap, aside as a momentary interesting observation on the resilience of the species it was an utterly useless grow.

I was working on this today
Pasty I agree sort of
My experiment is a lot different then his on using tea Mine is basically a way to simplify stuff I hope if successful
Tea has a lot of problems it does lack in nutrients in my opinion
I don't think there's much reinventing the wheel that will happen with Tea,
As for wood and paper pallets and so on I've got no input

A buddy of mine just grabbed a bunch of syringes from a known vendor but not a sponsor here (that i know of)... the dancing tiger and orissa india I had heard of but didn't have much interest in... but he had one called Paraguay that, from the vendor pics, looks like a Pan to me... and the other was called Marakesh. The marakesh looks kinda like a morel to me but its listed under the cubes (as was the Paraguay)... just wondering if anyone here has any experience with either of these varieties. Thanks!
Here's the Marakesh, taking off nicely... lol

Hey guys, it's been a hot minute since I have been on here and on my game and I am happy to say I am back. Missed you dudes.
Question though, does anyone have any experience with these petri dishes?
I have been having the worst contam issues since I switched to these from the celltreat with the grip rings. Might just be my own technique needing some brushing up

We will find out man. You don’t know me but you help me a lot many years ago. I’m trying to get back into the hobby slowly but surely.
Lastly, has anyone stabilized the alien spaceship mutant KSSS as seen in my first signature photo to consistently produce these weird shaped shrooms? It was quite odd back then. Don’t know if common now but would love to see it again.

The ksss spaceships I grew out from ms a few years ago put out nothing but those mutants. I once had a 50+ gram wet mutant. They look like garlic bulbs with hats to me.

Man I just looked back and I have a post on the fifth page of this thread. 1900 plus pages later.... what? Man I’ve missed a lot I’m sure. I can’t wait to dive back in. Have three sponsor syringes on the way, I will start back there. Found some old PF jar lids with one GE hole and one SHIP. Took my time and cooked them good. We will see. I’ve had a lot of fun going back through my old stuff. I used to be ok at this until I got the nickname tam fighter because I always grew mold. I’ll never forget I was worried one time about dumb shit and someone said what are they gonna say? “Officer we have 12 tubs of green mold here...” lol.
Had a bad go for a while and gave up. But the BRF was always successful for the most part. I’ll try to get good spirits and vibes from this beginner run again.
