:laugh2:  Oh Mun! Tell us what ya really think!

Ok so this subject line could be Use it or Lose it!

So noobiness prevails, I let the grain dry out too much this time.
Looks like the myc is just struggling too much.
        and
Crackatoa's easy oats Works great!

So the myc looks better in these pics, but IRL not so much.
Jars going for 10 days now, shaken twice. The green agar looks
like contam, but it's just uh, agar...
8g 1.6% Agar, 7.5g 1.5% Pilsner LME, green, no broth 9/10 nice

So these will prolly fail and that's why the two plates are pictured.
I think they're pretty :awedance:  They're strong growing T4, so gonna
put them to 4 jars again. This time mebbe get the water better.

Oh, and yes the jars are a little short of grain!  :facepalm3:
Ah, so now I'm hovering over the drying grains like
a helicopter parent. 2hrs

It’s more about genetics and volume. It’s a lot easier and faster to expand grain than brf. If you’re looking for yield genetics and axenic spawn should be the focus. BRF inoculated with spores will always be risky to expand further.

Im getting my xmas grow kits ready and im pressure cooking 6 1800 gram bags.  I think im using tooo much water.  Doe anyone have an easy to follow TEK for getting the best results?

Im running 3 spent cubes subs a the bottom and 3 grain bgs at the top for masters and mono grows.    Ive been filling the water almost up to the top of the bottom bags till now.  I think ive been doing it wrong for 10 years....  Every day is a school day.

Just on a side note how do you sterilize your jars too?

How is anyone claiming to fit 6x FULL 4qt bags in a 23qt presto?

I vacuum seal my bags so they shrink as much as possible and I get as much air out as I can and there is absolutely no room for anything but the two plates I use to weigh the bags down. There is maybe 2-3" of headspace above the bags to the lid and everything I've ever read on shroomery about bag loading a 23qt presto has been for 16qt maximum.

I want to see pictures of this.

Not sure where your problem is but I easily fit 6 ~4qt spawn bags in my prestos and 4 in my aa915.

Next bag run I do I'll post a pic if I remember

What are ya'll doing to case PE? I'm setting up to do a big PE run and I'm finding information all over the map. Excluding anything older than 10 years in my searches still feel like I'm not finding it.

Couple of questions about logistics

1) I have a closet I grow in. My space is very limited. If I put some grain spawn in the same closet I’m fruiting in, and one of my grain spawn bags gets moldy, will my fruiting chambers also get moldy? What if I do it after everything is already fruiting?

2) I have 1 box I isolated due to mold. I’m still getting a couple fruits from it here and their. A buddy tells me this is very bad, a mold spores could be everywhere and could destroy future grows. Any way to prevent this? Will an air purifier do?

U dont need anything. Youll be fine if your spawn is clean.  A moldy bag wont hurt your tubs either.  Plus, its sealed right?

Thanks amigo, much appreciated but fuuuuck me doing it in small batches like that would suck for 20-30 monos.

Is it just PE that requires casing for results or do people get away without? Going to be running PEU and APE as well.. seems to be casing is all over the map as a requirement.

Then you got replies from people in threads saying straight coir works just fine as a casing somehow.
