@Munchauzen, I germinated C. Burma on a wood peg with trace sucrose, placed into WL-Tek (paper + soluble fertilizer), about 5 days.

Maybe this helps your experiment. There are no micro-organisms, just Cubensis.
----
Without the sucrose, the Cubensis would have no viable carbon source to produce enzymes, such as cellulase. Wood-lovers would utilize the phenols, but the paper contains none (no starter sources).
Hence limited contamination chance, when using paper pellets.
----
There is also a difference between complex (complete) cellulose, and simple (partially decayed) cellulose.

They fit on these tanks which last for weeks with moderate to hevy use

Most of those need another day or two. I would harvest the mature ones though.

If you harvest now you'll be cutting yourself out of a lot of weight. I always pull what's ready (veil tearing or beginning to) and leave what isn't. Also, if that's multi spore you should clone some of those big early guys.

Alright guys, thanks, ill harvest the ones that are ready
They're from a print. Gonna take some tissue samples from some of the big ones popping out a cluster. Was debating on the big one by itself too, but idk
Real excited to try out a clone. I plan to work with this variety for a bit

i would be too. Looks like there's some real potential. I'd probably clone both. Actually, knowing me, i certainly would.

My ms tubs do the same thing, some are ready before others. Harvest normally last 2 or 3 days. I'll check em morning and night and just pick what is ready.
Do you use liners? I can't see one in this tub. 2 main reasons I use liners are for harvest and cleanup. Pulling the sub out of the tub to harvest is mucho nice.
Good looking tub

Ive grown a lot of mushrooms in about a month or two span a few times.
It took me 5 months and 16 failed qts. to get this tub. Been so damn busy. So im happy to have a success under my belt and some damn mushrooms again
Been fun having to work for it and to finally get a return

Out of curiosity, do you think the mushroom should contain more, or stain more? The blue-black is oxidation of psilocybin to psilocin. If the mushroom contained very little, there would be very little blue-black, in this case it's oozing with psilocybin.
No. It's oxidation of something and it's related to actives usually, but I've grown plenty of mushrooms that didn't bruise at all and were highly potent, as well as plenty the did bruise and were also highly potent.
So although it's a nice trait it's not indicative of potency SFAIK.

I was just wondering about that. My mushrooms i have right now dont seem to be bruising much at all
Some blobby masses especially
Curious to see their potency
Especially the tissue masses

I've tried the mushroom capsules I've made from my first harvest and hardly felt anything from 0.5g (equivalent to 10g fresh). I've tried 5g fresh before and felt plenty from that, so I'm worried that I've set the dehydrator to a too high temperature. It's one of the cheap kind with two heat presets and no indication what temperature each uses. Could it indeed be that or should I not bother measuring the temperature and rather try 1g next time?

Equivalency is just an idea to get you in the ball park. Its 10:1, so 0.5g dry is to 5g fresh. Unless you're eating one banging mushroom, half a g ain't gonna do shit. You need to eat a couple grams dry to get a good perspective on things. Might even need more. Your dehydrator is not killing your potency. You're just not taking nearly enough.

Well, the dehydrator turned 10g fresh into 0.5g dry (95% water gone), so it is equivalency of some kind. Anyway, I take your response as "No need to worry and just try more next time".
