I just looked like an idiot taking this pic lol forgot to turn flash off but was amazed at what I saw. A real PC at wal mart. Not a 23 or i woulda bought it. Still thinking about grabbing this one as back up if something happens to my current 23.

With covid ALL of my locals are out of canning wequipment. Can't even find quart jars at my locals anymore, although I haven't tried Menard as im still getting back into the swing of things and had 10 cases of jars left over from when u started my hiatus.
Before that, though, you could find a pc at any menards/walmart/large country store, in my region at least. You probably don't need a "back up" (back up meaning your og broke) pc but presto is quality. Once we get a vaccine you'll probably see more canning supplies in the wild.if we don't then ya won't lol people are really getting into canning, given alot of people think this is the apocalypse

Anyone build an SAB? Just completed my first grow and I’ve heard quite a lot of ranting and raving about cloning with agar. Contemplating the switch from multi-spore to agar. Just also knocked up 6 jars with Avery’s Albinos with LC.

A SAB and agar is when the real fun begins, it is the first gateway. Buy the Sterilite 160L clear tote (comes with a black lid) and use that as your SAB. Having the extra room is a godsend. Congrats on your first grow!

Got five tubs of WBS soaking right now and a few questions.
Is it really necessary to rinse them? I never rinsed my oats and they were pretty dirty from being from a grain elevator.
The black floating sunflower seeds, they any benefit to the mycellium or just toss the fuckers?
There's a couple peanuts in there. Necessary to remove them or will they be fine?

I traded a couple PE uncut multi-spore for the LC syringes so not sure. Two days and they already all showed growth. Crazy.
Definitely gonna try and build an SAB, looks like there’s lots of content here to review once I’m ready to clone. I also spawned a GT to straight coir in a 60 qt using pasty’s hole locations and flipped lid recommendations. Just starting to pin now.

Agar is still multi spore unless you’re working with a clone.
SAB is definitely worth doing, probably the biggest gain for the least money in this whole hobby.

Now that's a SAB
I still wanna try a hole in the side for the torch!
I'm currently using a 90 Qrt tub for SAB, eh it's ok...

I don’t know about blowing a torch into your still air environ. Seems counter something.
I can definitely dig the 200qt though. The biggest I’ve used was a 110. 200 must be like a palace.

I know it's not clear, last time had same reactions. But the torch would be outside and the scalpel goes thru the hole to contact the flame.
Ha! I might just have to do it to prove the concept!
200 must be like a palace. echo...echo...
If it doesn't work mebbe I get a new SAB out of the deal...

Ohhh haha.. that makes much more sense. It seems like it might be an awkward cross over with your scalpel hand, depending on your arm hole / scalpel hole orientation

Ya awkward, yer in good company with Pasty!
So ya a little gunshy to try it. BUT, hand & forearm would stay in the SAB, way less air movement. Scalpel would not be taking that long commute through moldy air. Seriously, everything here is molding! Couches, shirts in the dresser, pool deck..
