lol I bought a pack of dish washing gloves one time figuring they would last forever. If anybody does that check for sizes first. Idk if they actually do have sizes but I couldn’t get my fingers into the last inch of the glove.
Had they fit it would’ve been great though.

I don't want to waterlog my mushrooms again and I'm wondering one thing: I remember when my mushrooms were growing (right before harvest) the cakes were absorbing water like a sponge--see, I assumed this meant I had to water them to get the mushrooms to keep growing. Objectively speaking, they stopped "glistening with moisture" roughly every hour, and because of that I misted them way too often.
Do you guys mist your cakes more when mushrooms are beginning to drastically grow in size? If so, how exactly do you do such without waterlogging your mushrooms?
I mist when needed to keep good surface conditions to get a good pinset. Once that happens, the water for growth should come from a properly hydrated sub, not the small amount of water you’re spraying on the surface. Once your pins are in, let it ride.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in about my PE/top-fruiting question!
I'm a bit sketched by the single slow colonizer because the last batch of this variety trich'd out during substrate colonization. I'll see how far behind it is when the faster 3 jars are ready, and I'll decide accordingly whether to combine them all or fruit the straggler separately.

Not sure that I'm posting this the right way, but I am curious about something. I'm using while wheat oats. There's condensation in my jars, should I shake them to keep them dry, or do they need the condensation.

Your friend and so many others. My friend said he was gonna buy a flowhood and start making bags and I suggested that he start off with a pressure cooker. Him: "what do I need that for?"

I hate spores so fucking much. I hate them, I loathe them and if it wasn't for them (Yeah I know, I wouldn't be cultivating in the first place) I'd love this hobby even more.
Cleaning those monotubs up now and holy fuuuuuck do I hate how it takes mechanical cleaning for the spores on the sides of the tub. High pressure water and soap strips everything but those motherfuckers so I have to get in individually and wipe down each and every single one of the bastards. 70+ monotubs to be cleaned. Soap doesn't matter to them at all. They have to be physically scrubbed off.
I'm thinking of just leaving the bastards since I use liners now.
My kingdom for any strain that drops either clear, white or very little spore. I don't know if some droppers are more prolific than others but the stuff I've been growing from culture are absolutely bonkers. Within 12 hours a cap leaves a sporeprint that just looks like a pitch black donut.

I just use normal cleaning agent and a clean spunge and clean my tubs in the shower room. easy peasy. No alcohol, 10 minutes work, rinse under hot shower and it's ready for a new substrate, regardless of how many spores were on/in there.
Also what JCM said: harvesting them a little earlier helps a lot too.

I'm a bit late to respond, but I had one jar of PE that just wouldn't quite finish. I think it was Bod that recommended a top case and let it run. I got 5 solid flushes from it and it was just a nice little desktop companion. Here are some family photos.
It is really dry here, so he had to wear the ziplock of shame most of the time.

Yeah I usually harvest pretty earlier to avoid this but all it takes is one night for them to open and dump on me by the time I get to them in the morning. Prolific doesn't begin to describe it and I guess if there's some genetics that cause less spore to drop the inverse must be true as well.
Taking a break and going back to formula to find something that drops little spore and can go a bit longer without looking like someone spraypainted the tub/fruits.

Idk what you're talking about. All purpose cleaner, spunge, shower, ready

Just pick em before the veil breaks all the way. It’s only really a problem if you leave them in super long.
But I guess if your running 70 monos then I’d probably forget too
