So I've been thinking about farting around and getting into sporeless after someone suggested it in this thread. I've checked through the sponsors and cannot seem to find any of the sponsors offering swabs or ones offering swabs that'll ship to Canada here.
What's a guy do in this situation? Go back to formula with MS syringes and try to find some freak genetics in his own stable?

You can't swab for spores when there arent any lol
Unless you find one your best bet is to build a rapport with someone who has a sporeless culture. Maybe they'll trust you enough to send you one

Ah I was more meaning has spores but requires a swab to obtain them like PE. I've been working on my genetics on my end and while it produces large, consistent and pretty fruits that make for a splendid trip it's an absolute cocksucker spore dumper. Plenty of the caps open up to the size of a small plate, some the diameter of a CD and I'm just done with the spores that those produce.

Sporeworks sells PE spores in a syringe. They ship to Canada. Use USPS for shipping. Probably will take a month or something with the way things are right now but I have 100% success ordering from them, made several orders since 2012. Of course their stuff is for microscopic use only
Also if you would prefer, I can send you some PE swabs when I get a chance but I can't guarantee they will be clean or viable enough that you'll be able to work with them. I've managed to clean a couple up but also had some that were hella bacterial and a nightmare to clean.
PM me if you are interested (I'm in Canada)

sporeless swabs??? lol that would be absolutely pointless since swabs are spore swabs lol so if ur saying you want sporeless swabs il gladly get u a link to a cheap box of q tips š but all kidding aside sporeless to me sounds like someone telling you to grow from a clone or another culture that is already saved/proven and able to just take a transfer to a new plate or other form of inoculant that will allow you to bypass having to start from spore again. if thats what you are talking about it is the absolute best way to go. i fucking hate the gamble that comes with any MS grow. id rather already know i have a good strong prolific fruiting culture. so i suggest obtaining such a culture via cloning and further transfering out and fruiting each transfer while always having a master to go back to of each transfer so you can toss the bad performers and save the good. i have cube cultures pushing 2 1/2 years old that are just as good now as they were when i first slanted them. it really is so nice to be able to say to yourself i feel like growing this or that and simply just opening the fridge and going to work. so if this is what you are talking about then i can 100% tell you that this is the way to go and once you do you will really see just how great it is to skip spores after that initial MS grow. i hope this clears that up for ya good luck to yaššš

There are cultures out there that don't produce spores

Not exactly cult but I just scored a 5gal bucket of 99% iso for 78 bones. Now I wont have to worry my sister takes my last bottle of iso I have at the house without telling me. She's done it twice and its only been 2 months of her being around my house cuz of this wuhan virus crap. Everything she has gets doused in iso before she goes into my place, my moms place, her house, shits getting old. Sorry for the rant, I can't sleep and it was getting on my nerves. I had to vent.

Using Munchauzen liner mix for sub and my hot knife method it takes less that 5 minutes to add spawn, mix sub , cut liner, add casing layer and flatten. A proper game changer for me....

We forgive you jcm, take a soothing ride down peace river.
For some reason I never printed any of my PE6. Once I get my stuff going again I could send you a print Starbones. I donāt know if it would stay like mine have (Iāve seen a few pics of PE6 that drop spores like normal) but out of 3 rounds of MS grows and some clones all fruits have barely dropped spores.
They make plenty, and you can get a print from them, but itās real light so itās almost unnoticeable if you let them grow too long.

dmallo45 said: Hey, fellas. Total noob here. I've done nothing but brf cakes to this point, and they've turned out well for me. I managed 51gs dry on my most recent harvest of 15 half pints B first flush this weekend. I'm taking a shot at a couple monotubs (54 qt). They just started pinning today after mixing spawn and sub 10 days ago. How are they looking to you guys? (The "crack" in the sub on the one tub is from lifting the tub a couple days ago.)

Yooo they look pretty good. Kind of a greenish shadow on the left side of both tubs but I think thatās a trick of the light right?
Were these spawned with BRF cakes?
Thanks for the feedback, dude! Yeah, the greenish coloration you mentioned is just part of the photo I guess. I didn't use brf cakes for spawn on these, but I did try that on a small tub a month or so ago and that didn't go so well. I had a few cakes that were colonizing slowly, so I shred em up and mixed them in with what turned out to be bad substrate I bought online and ended up with a mess of contams after a very poor single flush (something like 7 grams). Anyway, each of these tubs consist of 3x 1qt 50/50 wheat/rye grain spawn mixed with 1 brick coir, 2qt verm, + a couple cups of worm castings. I only colonized 6 grain jars, not realizing how much spawn others typically use per tub. If these turn out well and I manage to not screw them up, I plan on using 5-6 qts spawn per tub henceforth. Agar is next up on my agenda, as I haven't done that yet... all ms so far, and I'd like to get some experience with cloning.
