Do what you want there is no definite way
In my experience, if I dont boil my telephone agar first I get a puck of undissolved agar in my vessel. I usually boil for a literal minute or just until I can see that the powder is fully melted

I just put my required agar powder in the bottle followed by the lme then pour on hot water, shake it till it’s all dissolved then bang it in the pc for half an hour. Never had a problem doing it that way and always comes out clear as.

It's day 4 for my G2G transfer. If I go near the zip lock bags, I get a sweetish smell, kind of like when smelling flowers up close. I haven't found any conclusion on what to do in this case, some say it's bacterial contamination, others that it's the cubes funk. What do you think?

Hm, what can I do in this case? Order pre-poured agar plates, drop a grain on one, do transfers until the mycelium looks good and use it to inoculate pressure-cooked grain jars?

Hey guys. 2 out of 4 jars are 100% colonized, just waiting for pins before I dunk. I'm wondering, there are these yellow stains within the colonized jars, is this anything to worry about?
Also, 3 jars haven't colonized at all after 2 weeks, so I assumed there is no progress that will happen. Should I toss these?

Does trich eat the fruiting bodies as well?
One of my tubs was infected so it was put in the quarantine room, the first flush was just finishing and when I checked it today half the big fruits had fallen over because they'd gone soft. The stipes had areas where something had infected them too. There was white and grey(green? my eyes don't work good) with colour) spot. on the substrate.
That'll be the second fruited monotub I trashed sub and mushrooms all today. The other was one that I somehow missed in rotation and was two days past harvest. Full canopy of upturned caps and the fruits were so black with spore they looked like they had been powder coated.
I've taken all my colonizing spawn and put it in the kitchen and beer fridge for now and will not be spawning anymore tubs until I can figure out how to keep the molds at bay.
The basement is 85+ RH and other than passive exchange with the upstairs is more or less stagnant so I'm going to try an air intake on one side of the basement and an exhaust on the other which would be a bandaid until winter comes then I'll have to figure out a way to exchange stale for fresh air without shooting -40 celsius air into my basement.

The yellow spots appear to be colonized verm.
If they have nothing growing in them reinnoculate.
Otherwise toss

Fuck, I gotta grow out the last of these tubs and stop spawning new ones until I get this figured out.
A white, slightly bubbly looking growth across the mycellium in random patterns that ends up turning grey or green, my eyeballs suck. It spreads viciously which is probably thanks to the fan I've got blowing in there.
I did 25lbs dry this last month but it's time to shut it down and look at a new strategy here. I'm using Pasty ez-dial tubs but I was not using anything over the holes but it may be time for that. Fresh air circulation needs to be increased by a large magnitude and before anything else gets spawned I need to look at my sterile procedure. I guarantee you I spawned a bag that had something lurking in it and it spread like wildfire.
If it is trichoderma and I believe it to be when I'm running this many tubs I'm willing to invest in Banrot to add to my monotubs. I just can't find any solid instructions from RR or others on what or how much to use.

Just take everything down, clean everything with a good mold killer, you could even multi fuck it and use fog and decissant, scrub the air if you have a flow hood or place a good air purifier in the room on high for a few weeks, and start from spore. If you pulled 25lb im sure you're using a really good clone but its probably also time to switch it up given the circumstance. Start from spore and just really scrub your whole area, take everything out and give it a real good scrubbing and you should be fine.

Negative on starting from spore. I've got gallons of LC that tests fine on agar, just checked it a week ago when this problem started occurring. I didn't have trouble until I started using spawn bags because 140+ jars was getting old and I guarantee that's where my contamination came in. One tub went shitty and I did not notice until it went green and the fucker was downwind (upwind? in front of the fan) of everything else. I've got 45 monotubs fruiting right now between 1st and 2nd flush out of my original 60+ and out of these monos any that are giving their 1st will be giving their last.
Agreed on the fogger, I've got a 2 gallon sprayer full of Moldex ready to go and I'll be renting a fogger full of concrobium to TRY and deal with the mold in the air, walls, floor.
Air, fresh and drier air is going to be a goal here but also going back to jars. I just trust em well enough.
