Anyone ever have their media bottles develop small cracks?
I have these 500ml Cadamada media bottles that developed small cracks in all 3 after less than 2 years. Maybe I should be more careful about subjecting them to temp swings. I wonder if Pyrex brand would be better quality and hold up better. I have some on their way soon.

It can help make colonization fast, but no, most don't.
~33-66% air gap, lets you shake too. There are blend LC/LI teks around.
LC needs a filtered lid if you plan on aspirating it with a syringe.

Ya I tried being fast and loose and aspirating LC in a SAB with a lid off. It was more miss than hit.

If I don’t have a ship or filter I just like to pour the LC. It’s not any harder than G2G IMO.

My plan was to tiger drop a pasty plate i poured a little light so it dried a bit Into an lc broth sterilized in a blender lid jar. Aspirate with the blades and pour like g2g

Aspirate means to suck up.
Yes you can blend with the blades and the free pour. No need to make an lc broth just sterile water will work. Basically a blended LI

Lol, I've been locked in a half distracted haze from taking ape so frequently. I was thinking aerate. I just figured, since it's kinda dry and small i should let it colonize before pouring.

Will mycelium colonize a new substrate if you break it up, after a flush or after a few pins? How long do you have?
Does it stay in fruiting mode forever after doing its first flush?
Im just wondering what to do with for instance, a sub that has spent a few days in a fruiting or humidity chamber for instance, if I find out I want to spawn em to bulk.

You can successfully re-spawn an old substrate that has flushed. It usually molds tho.. Heres one where I got a flush then re colonized some manure and fruited again.

That's called super spawning if you wanna check the search engine. But spoiler it's an old outdated method that probably causes more failure than success.

Wow, I had no idea
Super spawning was used for what, historically?
Just to colonize more bulk sub, scrap out a few extra fruits?
I thought that after the mushies went into fruiting stage, at some point they will never attempt to expand or colonize new subs
clearly wrong
