what does it matter with its stipes?
I guess you won’t. I try to keep my conditions controlled so I don’t have to guess. If you clone it I suggest bottle tek would be a good idea for it. Probably make monsters.
i can clone to a bottle for sure, will a normal biopsy where u take mycelium from inside the stem suffice here?

A.k.a said: I think conditions were probably fine. I’m surprised they got enough air with that huge liner unless you left the lid off, but they don’t look starved.
What type are those?
I flip the lid, i sometimes place a tub upside down over tubs, and im currently on the wrong side of FAE. Got ventilation running apartment wide, a fan in the room
sometimes leave the lids so they get a lot of air maybe this why im not getting canopy
i know im doing something wrong :/

if anyone needs these genetics just holler at me
He means clone it to agar and do a bottle tek with the clone. The main problem with that shoebox is the green mold under the liner. Don't line your shoeboxes. What flush is that?
I would never store a fruit in the fridge to clone. Fridges are filthy.

Clone with agar. Expand the culture and then run a bulk bottle grow.

Sorry for derailing the conversation (my SOP), but I just got done prepping barley for the first time tonight using Lefty's Easy AF Barley Prep, and it was fucking perfect. What a time saver barley is... Bring water to a boil, toss in barley for 12min, turn off heat, let sit in water additional 3min , and let steam dry. Clean grain. I'm digging it very much. Had Bod's oat prep recommended to me for it and it would have been overdone, I'm sure.

whats everyone think about this tote its 5 days in on fruiting haven't had a tote look like this before. oats and coir with a light bedding layer or coir on top.
not currently misting. just a brief fanning twice a day.
the tote appears to produce alot of heat more then other totes ive done in the past. when i open the loose lid (i flip my lids during fruiting)after a night i can notice a large amount of heat escape.

Yeah that's looking kinda fucky. Bacterial I'm guessing. How is it smelling? Looks like (maybe my eyes) maybe it's pretty wet too, which could be the problem (or compounding the problem).

Definately bacteria. Maybe some mold hiding in there. Give it more air, keep an eye on it and hope for the best

Fairly typical of bacterial boxes/tubs. Probably have a few funky looking mushrooms.

What about the dark shadow covering the bottom left of that tub and the slimy spot of something within said shadow? The largest mushrooms I’ve ever grown were from contaminated subs that went before the first flush but the sub was able to put all its nutrition and energy into one or two monsters.
Maybe that’s what’s up here

Idk I’m gonna take the other side here and say I think it’ll flush pretty well.
Ime as long as the myc colonizes the sub and isn’t all puffed up and slimy or rubbery it does ok.
I’m guessing decent flush followed by mold at the start of the second.

It might be a trick of the light but there’s a huge green shadow at the bottom left of that pic. That’s what I was talking about and trypkaloid in his 2nd to last post.
The other posts are about that other tub that hasn’t pinned yet.

So a bit gutted that my RW print is just not doing anything it's supposed to. Really had me 2nd guessing myself for a while but I'm just about to go T3 with my yeti culture and am super pleased, it's helped restore my faith in my technique.
Fruits coming soon!

I'll save you a swab. I'm getting pretty confident with my cube routine at this point. There are things that still catch me out, that heatwave this summer for example...I wanted to pull my hair out at points. I wanna try doing some azures next but I've read your pans thread too. Really great info.

Grew blobs. I let them grow and it's just a bunch of mutations and craziness. 5 or 6 qts spawn in 58qtmono

Is this not vert? The stipes splitting, like one side stops growing and the other does not
