Same happened to me. It came in three bricks with correct total weight, but none of the bricks were the same size. Was kinda weird and slightly inconvenient. Seems to have worked just fine though for my mush grows.

Walmart was carrying 5kg coir bricks last year, they were pretty good. They were $8 each, they went on sale for $3 at the end of the season. I wish I had the forethought to buy the pallet

Yeah the Wally world ones aren't coming to any of them near me thanks to the pandemic. The regional manager said they aren't getting garden stuff in this season. Can order them online though. They aren't great quality but no coco I have bought really is besides the high high end cannabis stuff.

My son got a sharp suprise helping me to put oyster mushroom grain spawn to straw buckets

Had my blade fall off on a transfer and just left it.Mycelium completely grew round it so forgot it was there when we were breaking the grain up
Luckily it was just a small poke and not any worse
TIP
if this happens to you
Please mark jar // take blade out!!

These small fruits don’t seem to be getting any bigger... been this size for two or three days now. Most of them aren’t much taller than about 1 inch. Mini shrooms lol

Has anyone else experienced this or know why it might be happening?

And what’s up with the slightly white caps on some of the fruits?

There are a ton of side pins. I’ve also harvested 5 or 6 big fruits that popped up a few days before the ones above started to pin, like this guy:

This is Bod’s unmodified, WBS+coir, Transkei, spawned 22 days ago.

For people using oats for grain jars,  what brand oats are y'all using?  Im using producers pride but I'm starting to read bad experiences with that specific brand. Im wondering if some of the issues im having is from my oats.

Might be a small fruiting variety, I've had a few different small fruiting varieties that only got about 2 inches tall in good conditions. The tub looks really dry though and there are a lot of aborts.

Nice shroom

same brand, and i am about to toss the rest of the bag to the birds or something. Same LC used on prepped wbs and oats. only the wbs ever recovered. The oats showed life after a week and i never spawned them. Most likely a fail in my prep with hydration/drying and then the added liquid from the LC didnt help any.

they work, and people have great results (think Bod) but im not trying to work that hard on grain prep.

just picked up 3 50# bags of winter wheat last night

boiled up 13 grams wet last night, knew it was going to be a light dose,
and it was.

enjoyed the visit of the full moon at around 1 am, asked for the blessing of the new full moon, the strength and perseverance to face my future challenges, and that my coming child is to be strong and healthy

called on the tree I left 50$ in a hole by the trunk during a camping trip,

the deer I encountered on the way there,

and the family of ducks that we fed scraps of bread during the stay

I asked for the guidance of the teachers, of the power animals, and the sympathic spirits

Felt like a powerful scene, ripe with crowleyesque energy, and things beign willed into existence, under the full moon, on my own grown shrooms, with my closest of loved ones in my close proximity

Powerful scene indeed. No visuals. Everything on the inside.

I've heard good things about that brand, might try that brand before I give up on oats and go back to wbs. What tek are you using for oats??
