I've had luck finding quart jars at certain hardware stores. I know Ace usually carries some, they are a bit more expensive though.

Re: jars: try at your local farm and garden stores, or feed stores, shit like that- my local farm store has plenty of widemouth quarts for slightly cheaper than Walmart, plus 40lb bags of various untreated feed grains.

When you guys are talking about pans, are you talking about every Panaeolus specie or are you talking specifically about pan cyans? Also, just like how cubes have a "potent" variety (Penis envy), does pans have a variety that is significantly more potent than the others? (Yes, I know they are already potent) I'm completely new to exotics but after hearing about your potency experience, I'm interested in exotics now lol.
Before diving deep into pan cyans, what are the major differences between cultivating cubes vs pan cyans? Just want to make sure I'm capable of attempting pan cyans based on my environment/cultivating supplies.

the fresh kind
But nah they are all relatively similar. You dont really hear of bunk Pans
Check out the pan thread. You need super high humidity and fae w no misting. Also need straw and/or manure
Check out the pan thread, read asura, jakeoncid, and jcm's writeups. You can build a jartha or do jcms FC. I prep asura style and fruit jcm style

Pan cinct is weak af. You could eat 15 grams for a buzz. Many species of Pans are inactive. None are poisonous.

Anyone here prep their coir in unmodded tubs? I don't have enough buckets or coolers to prep the amount of coir I need. Thinking about just tossing my shit directly in the tubs and dumping water on it. I might just use cooler water than usual so I don't have to worry about warping.

Yep. I had the same problem and then same thought so I checked and my shoeboxes say pp5. So I just put coir in them add boiling water and put the lid on. Then shake them half an hour later. It’s pretty convenient actually once you know how much water it needs.

Hell yeah thats good to know.
I'm using 44 qt and 54 qt tubs. Both say PP5
Edit: BTW these 44qt weathertight boxes are only 8 bucks each at Costco right now

Yes that is clear, I was trying to get more specific though. Which panaeolus is your favorite. I personally like the meaty look of pan cambo but my favorite seems to be the big white caps on pan jams. I haven't grown or eaten them yet but I'm interested in your opinion.

Small point, not baggin on ya, as the kids say. But I keep each jar separate and follow the code, e.g. T4.2. 1:1 jar to coir per shoebox.
