My place is super dry, like last week we had 4% humidity for a few days so i always add a top layer of coir. I almost always do it at spawn but I’ve been spawning so many tubs I didn’t have enough coir made up a couple times and so I didn’t add the top layer until I spawned another tub a few days later.

It makes a huuuuge difference for me as far as surface conditions. Plus I like the way the myc looks when it grows through the top layer.

I'm getting some slight pooling in my shoebox, mostly around the sides where condensation is dripping down. Not too much but should I hit it with a paper towel or something?

Yeah if it gets bad I’ll fold up a paper towel and just touch the corner to the water pool.

Lol I don’t think you’ll make it by the weekend if there’s no pins yet. I know the feeling.

I just patch up puddles with coir... besides getting rid of the pools, this pulls moisture up from the sub facilitating evap

Honestly if I felt things were getting to the point where SJW’s dictated all policy I would leave this place myself. I don’t think we’re there yet but, then again I don’t post in the pub.

I just started with my own PF TEK cultivation about 5 days ago.
There are now 6 small jars and just one of them have plenty of mycelium developed. Another one has a little bit of mycelium but the rest doesn't.
I just know that I used more brown rice powder in one of them.

Is that the reason? If yes, I could just add more or?

And I still have my growkit where I completely destroyed the cake and put it in again with a little bit of new brown rice powder and spores.
It has developed a little bit of mycelium on the top again.

The one that blew up in 5 days I would beat of contaminated. Mycelium doesn't go that fast. If anything you should have a couple small spots for 5 days.

Oh you are right.
I just realized that it looks completely different then my grow kit.
So I should start this one new?
And does the cake need to be packed tight? Seems a little loose to me.

Yeah shit you're right it's already Wednesday. I'm just impatient haha. My LI jars took off though so I'll be spawning 5 more Shoeboxes soon.

They’ll be fine for weeks without doing those things.

I'll probably still wrap them just so they don't lose too much moisture through the FAE holes- it's hot as fuck during the day.

So I just harvested a couple trays full and my stupid nesco won’t turn on.

Anybody know how to fix it?

Or suggestions for what kind to buy next? The thing made it 8 months so could be worse for 30 bucks or whatever it was.

No I just saw your pm.

I’m not the person to talk to about fruiting chambers though unless you’re in an apollo13 situation and need to fruit pans with only items already in arms reach lol.

Finally doing those wild coast today. Been a minute since I ran some pans I gotta go find my fogger too.

I’m really not sure where to post this, I don’t know if it fits in here or not but I didn’t find much in the way of suppliers by search just DIY builds.

I’m building a flow hood, I have my wood cut and sized how I need it, I have my blower wired up and ready and all I’m lacking is a filter, I’ve contacted 6-7 manufacturers in the us and have been given lead times from the end of September to the end of October. Not a big deal but if I can skip the wait I’d like to, do any of you mush Kong’s know of anywhere that stocks HEPA filters?

I need a 24x48x6 I’m pairing it with Daytona 1TDU2. Looking everywhere for one in stock I know most are made to order but surely someone has inventory on them?

Try ebay, granted it may take a month but its better than waiting till the end of September.
