Found this 6 month old jar in my closet,
Was going to throw it out but since it's white I'm going to use it for a grain master

Anyone ever have fruits that feel like memory foam? My "mystery cubes" were soft and squishy just like memory foam and this is a first for me.

Munch's blenderless LI is germinating for me. Been two days since inoculation and I see growth in about half the jars. Trying not to mess with them too much.
I also didn't simmer my grains. Just soaked, drained, loaded and PC'd. They appear to be so much less clumpy and starchy. Really feeling good about this run of jars.
Another issue I made last time was I had to expend all my energy into PC'ing and inoculating over 20 jars, it was a clusterfuck. Especially considering I can only PC 3 jars at once.
So I think only having 6 will allow me to focus my energy on just these. I have no agenda to meet growing so I can slow it down.

Weird. How well did it break up in the jar after you shook it?

Will blenderless LI (myc agar puck dropped into sterile water and shaken) store as long in the fridge as an LC will? I've had LC's work fine for 6 months without any issues.

Yeah I use closer to 20 cc per jar. and I don't stop shaking until that fucking puck is pulverized or broken up into 3 or 4 pieces with a bunch of smaller.

The following is a vid where RR shows how to do G2G transfers...
If you skip to minute 5:50 you can see clearly how he makes his lids: first he puts the metal lid with the rubber side up, then the SFD and then the ring. And the three stick together as a single piece.
Does anyone know how the heck he does this? Because I've tried it and the lid does not stick to the sfd and ring, only the sfd sticks to the ring, and I'm sure as hell he didn't use rtv to secure them.
On the other hand, I've tried this configuration: sfd, lid (rubber side down) and ring. This way the three stick together as a single piece. But the problem with this is that I don't like the sfd to be exposed directly to the grains if it can be helped for obvious reasons.
