Are you growing a stone producer, cubes don't produce sclerotia. If it's not fruiting I'd just throw it out and do more.

Don't use low nutes agar for plates you're planning to transfer to grains. Shit's slow to jump off. I got to do some experiments with various nute levels to find the optimum.
So low nutes when doing a2a transfers and high nutes when doing a2g?

No, this would be for 500ml. Mostly i just need 10 plates, so for 250ml i go with 5gr Agar to 4gr LME. Works good for me

Perhaps you mean BCYE-Agar? It's used to isolate and cultivate some bacteria, but that's advanced to me. You could mix you're desired colour with food colouring anyway

Everytime i made it blue or green, i got paranoia from the colour of the wedges in the grain jars for being mold or shit Now i do purple. The darker, the better contrast to white, of course. On the other hand, you should see all kind of colours growing...

Hey guys brand new to this have heard in the past it's possible to grow shrooms specifically subs in my case from mushrooms growing directly off chunks of wood and pine cones, I got lucky the other day and found 5 such specimens and haven't been able to find any details on exactly how to start this off, if anyone could point me in the right drt that would be greaf.

"On average, 1 g of activated charcoal has approximately 1000 square meters of surface area."
I'd go with the smaller amount

Nah, i wouldn`t overdo it. You`ll see it on standard plates due to the slimy shapes. Of course there will be some hard to see, but this will be advanced. At least, i trust my nose. If i don`t see something and it doesn`t smell like weekend piss, it`s good to me

They won`t last long in the fridge while they`re fresh, and a bag isn`t a good idea. I dry them to sticks, vacuum them, and put them in the freezer

There`s an old thread where RR said he uses about 5gr powdered, activated charcoal for 1 liter Agar. It will also keep bacteria a bit down and grows healthier myc. I think i`ll test it out

Dry wood shouldn't really grow mold. Especially with flow hood, where it's getting a shit ton of fresh air on a regular basis.

Yeah, low nutes normal hardness for cleaning up. High nutes low hardness for a2g.

There's no such thing as mycelium piss. They are metabolites, which highly indicates bacteria. Those cakes are trash, sorry my friend.
