Anybody have any good links to azurescens grows? I have a plan and a syringe, I'm looking for example grows. I have found some cyan ones so I'm going off of those
What kind of chips do they prefer? Will they grow under pines? Would they disturb morels they grow under the same (big) strip of trees? I've heard that pines can be acidic.
I'm hoping I'm not to late to start (won't hurt to try). My patch should survive through the winter, I am just out of the usda plant hardiness zone. With an extra layer of mulch they should survive through next winter so we will see.

Goodluck... Let us know, for sure. Successful azur grows are far and few between. We get excited if you can put out a couple fruits in a planter...

I edited my post a bit lol, but I think I'm going to colonize birdseed and woodchip mix and put that into bags of chips them mix that with more chips in several spots outside that have been pre-prepped under some maples, pines, and 2 other kinds of trees (can't remember names). The more patches the higher the chance of some fruits. I want some cyans to try too.
Thanks for the link Pasty Exactly was I was scrounging for
I should also say I have lots of saw dust, some exotic kinds too. Itll just be burned or put to compost if I don't try to use it.

I don't think it wouldn't be any different than the cyan grow I did this year, they looove wood, blackberry and scotchbroom stems from what I've seen when hunting them. I'm sure pine would work after it has fermented a bit. Quote:

I was actually going to base my grow off of yours Liloldme! I have a couple of dead pine 20 ft trees I plan on cutting down and chipping. I'm sure fermenting wouldn't be too difficult.
Would a mix of mulches be good? I saw you threw in whatever you had around. I have access to a wide variety of fallen trees, chips, and sawdust
Thanks for the video as well, I never thought about youtube as in info source. I should really watch through all of Paul's videos. It'd put my hours of reading to shame.

If I store colonized agar plated in the refrigerator, when I take them out, should I use them to transfer to grain or should I make another transfer and use that one?

Depending on how long your plate is being stored, changing the nutrition source can reinvigorate a tired culture.

so i prepped some oat jars but i didn't have time to PC them before i went out of town for 5 days, most of them have a few spots where mold or bacteria has grown
are these okay to PC and use? i figure the heat should be enough to kill anything in there and they should be okay but i wanted to check with the pr0z before i waste 10 jars
