lol thanks gizmo.

I think the low rh is actually an advantage. If you ever play shooter games like cod I think of it as similar to turning up the joystick sensitivity.

It’s way harder to control at first but once you’re used to it it’s a big advantage.

It took me a while to figure out that a tiny change in the lid makes a huge difference for me. When I was following the teks here my stuff was constantly dried out and matted.

With shoeboxes in low rh situations you really don’t need to do anything, just leave the lid on.

I haven’t done enough pan grows yet to know for sure, but I suspect the low rh is why I had an easier time with them. Anything that needs a lot of air and evaporation is perfect for my climate.

Ain't that the truth! I fight 70-80 the in my home in open air and end up leave tubs open for 6-12 hrs to get evaporation going.

Tried running my dehumidifier outside my grow room and almost cooked my shoeboxes today.

Yeah that pin set is :fire:

Does the cl/cl mean a clone of a clone?

Very nice pinset hobbit! Just a quick question, why does it look all foamy around the entire edge of the sub?

Yes it's a clone of a clone. It produces very very well. Umm.. the foam looking myc, is just myc. The sub was over hydrated and it grew like that on the surface but it was more wet looking. The border looks like its dryer than the rest.
Idk really why it looks that way. Do you guys?

I’ve had tubs do that.. mine were MAZ and it was really gray but didn’t seem to affect the outcome.  Could be that there was more grain closer to the surface there and the myc grew in denser.. maybe.  Lol

You need to work on your surface conditions Hobbit. I see a few square inches that aren’t packed with pins :noargument:

Hey guys another quick question, I believe it’s time for me to pick these, but when picking them do I do everything or just the fully grown ones? There’s some that look like they could mature still but then I also have aborts. Should I just pick everything?

My MAZ acts crazy rhizo. It grows up the sides and forms these weird clusters of myc starting to build soft blobs kinda

It's done same thing but worse in other tubs

Totally up to you.. a lot of ppl have so many tubs to pick that they opt to just pick ones like that all at once, but picking as they mature isn’t a bad idea either.. you can also just scissors off the caps of the mature ones if you don’t want to disturb clusters that aren’t all growing at the same rate.  Gives ya something to print while you wait for the rest too.

Misting too heavily: close them and walk away for 3 days ... they could use some light also...

I appreciate your response! I just got back from a trip so I had to put them away for a few days. I'm putting light on them now.

Me too. They havent been worth their weight and I'm not digging in the gene pool to find the phenos.

So I quit them. I doubt I will ever try again. Ya know with all the better funner ones to play with.

Hey guys! Hope your days are going well.

This site inspired me to start my first grow, so two weeks ago I was able to nocc my first jars!

So you know, I'm following Bod's oat tek for this, using GT syringes.

The jars have moved very slowly, and after asking in a different thread I was told my oats were most likely too wet. Luckily, the jars seem to be free from contamination, despite their slow growth. Furthermore, I overfilled the jars, preventing me from getting a good shake in, so I'm sort of stuck with this top heavy growth pattern.

I'm curious if what you thought about this: instead of using these jars as spawn, could I go g2g with the top portion into properly dried oats? What would the colonization time be if I did that? Any other tips?

Thanks to everyone on this forum, you guys are awesome.
