Hey, just wondering if a hydroponic Heat mat can be used under a mono-tub? Just trying to figure out my grow set up. I had bought a little thermostat heater and I have a ink-bird temp controller, not sure if it will work in the small space I have to grow in. I'm worrying about a potential fire hazard. Then I did a bit more looking around and I found a thermal heating pad with a sensor control on it, with a temp range from 40-108°F(5-42°C). Would this work, suggestions?
Thanks.

Room temperatures are the best temperatures. Heating pad will dry your sub out.

If your temps don't drop below 15C on a regular basis I'd say you don't need extra heat.

So, no need for a heater or pad? I read doing research the temp should be between 75-80°F(24-27°C). Right now, room temp in my house is 68°F (20°C); during the winter months, I keep it a bit higher.
Really appreciate the input.
Thanks

Some of my best mushrooms were fruited in the mid to low 60s.
Only the jars seem to be noticeably slower, the tubs did fine.
Nice solid shrooms.

15°C would be the lowest it would go.

I would just leave it be then. The risk of drying out your sub or any of the other things that can go wrong when using heat pads isn't worth it. If anything your mushrooms may take a day or two longer to develop.

I stopped stirring my lcs its been over a week maybe two and they started growing up the side of the glass and on top of the liquid. The test plates and jars were clean but I've used the LCs since. Are they contaminated? Heres a pic couldnt get a great one but you can kinda see.

Both these plates have been like this for a week and not spreading on the receiving agar.

I have 30 quarts of spawn colonizing that's 40 pounds of grain before the soak and simmer. That should be enough to grow a pound of mushrooms right? Thats a lot of weight and not even counting the bulk sub. Was inoculated with agar.

Gizmo have you seen the pics of the Lcs where the surface matted up and shrooms grew on them??
Lol ovoid that’s plenty.
Ten quarts should easily get you a pound or more.

Edmunter's everything? Considered whittling it down to one link, linked to a page of links? That said, what type of woodlover are you most fond of?

Ed you still have no signature for me.
Gizmo I’m not positive but I think they’re ok. I think it just happens if it sits undisturbed for long enough.
