I should have swabs sometime in the middle of next month hopefully if you don't mind waiting. I'll send you enough to ensure success. Have you tried leaving a swab tip on a dish?

I have not tried that, I'll do that this evening. Thanks for the offer, much appreciated.

I mean I found cubes up in northern Montana early July, so that's almost as north as me, but I'm in the midwest. Also read a thread about someone doing in the NE, so I'm assuming its possible. I searched and couldn't find any specific dates, so if anyone can point me in the right direction of timeframe that would be sick.
I highly doubt you found cubes in northern montana unless it was in your bedroom. You can check what mushrooms grow in your area here https://www.shroomery.org/8461/Which-psilocybin-mushrooms-grow-wild-in-my-area It would be extremely and I mean extremely rare to find wild cubes in the north.
Thanks for that. Maybe it was a Panaeolus cinctulus or a Pholiotina smithii in Montana then, someone else identified them and we tripped, so yuh I guess not a cube.
Well maybe I'll find one of the Psilocybe in my area and get a print. Either way been throwing my subs in the compost so hopefully I'll eventually see something pop up.

About the filter, I took it down and will redesign it so that it can be printed on both kinds of printers, Siriachi was right about it not being easy to print through FDM.
I don't know why people are still debating about if this will deform or not when pressure cooked. I know it will not, and Siriachi tried it too and said it did not. I am not near my printer so I can't do it myself now so thank you Siriachi for trying it.
I am sorry I posted it before it was ready. I never do things like that, and they are always fine the first try. So of course the one time I can't print it myself first, I make a mistake.
I will wait until this is "quite ready for Prime Time" before posting it again but thank you for the interest and all the helpful suggestions. Yes I like the idea of putting this on thingverse but not from my account, so let me say now that anyone who wants to upload it when I redo it is welcome to. Send me a PM and I will send you the Blender files too.

Oh I wasn't trying to say that the SLA print would be problematic.
I just figure warping is likely to be an issue with FDM prints.
Were you able to get it to work with FDM prints already?

Not trying to be condescending or holier-than-thou when I say it, but some of you need to free your minds, because chica is close to having a really good idea here. I hope the negativity doesn't cause her to not come back.
My ABS definitely warps at those temperatures. What brand did you use? I'm imagining the whole part in TPU won't work.
I sounded like a dick there, and I apologize. Man I'm not good at talking to people.
Anyway, cheap ass Sainsmart TPU. I printed it at a crawl of about 40mm/s and at 220c which is its max. Bed was 75. I didn't print the cap because of the issue with the bottom, but it could work in TPU as well in my opinion, but since you and bound2grow both think not, I will defer to you two on that. But with those settings on an Ender 3 with a modded Bowden I can print TPU parts like this one that are really solid. I used pliers to pull the filter thing Bound made into the hole and pulled HARD.
I have found the key to TPU is: Turn off filament retraction, use minimal infeed pressure in the Bowden, print at max temp the filament recommends, and have your bed real hot. Without an upgraded extruder I would not try and print TPU on an Ender, but get one you can adjust the pressure on from Amazon for ten bucks and it is a whole new ball game lol

Used the no boil prep that has worked multiple times before. We are talking about 80% loss when before would never toss anything before a first flush.
My first thought is the well water. I've tested it a couple years ago and it was fine for drinking, but has some cloudiness after hard rains. Unsure how the water would matter, but I know its not as clean as city water. Anyone experience this and made a correction that got things back to normal? All the totes are from a variety of plates and varieties. So its not an innoculant issue imo. Grains looked good at spawn.

Come on youāve heard of sriracha sauce!
Man I rarely get growth from swabs without burying them in agar. Then they magically grow like crazy.
Had the same problem when I got Melmak for lagm.

I have a flexion extruder, so TPU prints at 70mm/s here I guess I'd need to buy some harder TPU tho, the one I have is like spaghetti.

Hello guys! I want to ask a noobie question.
I have some big fruits and others which are not so developed. Should I harvest them all or just the big bois?
Which is the difference between harvest all or partially and wait?
Thanks <3

Harvest the mature ones, leave the other young ones to grow more. Sometimes clusters will come off with a mix of mature mushrooms and immature mushrooms. Not sure what to do about that situation. Razor blade maybe?

Pop the caps off and leave the stems til the rest of the cluster catches up.

This is what I do in that situation. It's a perfect opportunity to take some prints.
