so tgis has been in my mini fridge for about a month its supposed to be red im making up master slants and not sure if the nutes will be sufficient ??? What do you guys think

This was actually my spore agar i make it softer for the spores to germ better but i didnt feel like making up new agar tonight i usually do 20 agar 15 malt and 1000ml

That's super soft though. I make soft agar for spore germination by using 8.5 to 9 grams per 500ml.

I think moste recipes call for 10 per 500ml. I generally keep my nutrition on the low side (5-7g per 500ml) to encourage faster growth. For spores you my not want to go quite that low though.

Ok right on man ive been using different amounts everytime i make my recipe to see what works best... what about master slants for storage how should i mix it ? I put a popsicle stick in along with the agar

Especially for wood loving species its beneficial to have wood inside the slant IMO.
I stored slants without wood for a little over a year and the cultures still performed well.
Another advantage of wood:
I use 2 to 3 toothpicks per slant. If you want to use a stored culture slant, you just take out one toothpick with a sterilized or flamed tweezer and put it on agar.

Right on my first 15 slants went in the trash i didnt have them loose enough so the other 15 are good to go lmao ill be putting pan cyan isolate, blue oyster, red reishi, 2 mazzie clones, 2 ksss clones, three pe clones, a golden teacher, and an illusion weaver tomorrow evening

I'm heading away for the holidays for 3 weeks. I have 10 cakes that just flushed and I dunked and rolled them again. Can I store them to prevent/pause the next flush until I get back? Can anyone direct me to some discussion on this topic? Thanks.
