wanna hear a story? One time ate mushrooms, bomb ass pf albino.Puked on the come up. Half way threw my trip decided the boomers were great and wished I could clone them. I went to my sink found a chunk that was stuck in the drain (from my vomit) and held on to it until the next day. Dunked it in peroxide and put it on a plate. i got healthy growth after 48 hours. Thats my one and only experience with peroxide in mycology.

Hey everyone I figure I would post this here rather than make a whole new thread just to ask this question.
So I bought some dehydrated MEA and the recipe calls for 38 grams of MEA to 3 1/4 cup of water to make 20 Petri dishes. How will it come out and will more or less MEA be more desirable for germination? Thank you.
Also I don't have any Petri dishes atm so I'm gonna have to use these 1/4 pint masons. Is this gonna cause me issues other than having to reach further down in there to do transfers? Thanks a lot.

In my experience softer agar works best for spore germination

1. Is 2nd flush a good candidate for clones, because there's only a few there. 2. Is there a common knowledge that one flush is better than another?
PESA
The only reason you shouldn’t clone 2nd flush fruits is because they don’t grow under the same parameters as 1st flush fruits. IE: the water content of the coir and nutritional value of the grains isn’t the same as when they were spawned, and it’s hard to replicate second flush conditions without already going through the first flush.
That said I’d clone it and see what it puts out but that’s not best practice/advice.

Hey y'all, still alive? Lol... isopropyl alcohol is sold out everywhere in Connecticut because of this stupid virus. So I was wondering, would a cheap vodka, like dubra or something like that be a suitable substitute for isopropyl? The shelves in the cleaning aisles are completely empty in the stores out here. There's not one radio station or television station I can't can put on without hearing about this damn virus.

Use bleach water. And no, 40% alcohol will not do the same thing.

I use 1 to 2 caps of bleach to a full spray bottle of water. Sometimes put a couple drops of dish soap I use the same spray to mist the walls in my SAB. You could actually use just water to wipe down jars and Petros. Alot of people don't even wipe anymore.

What are you using the alcohol for? I spray my sab with just dawn (soap) water and personally use a new sterile blade for every culture but if it didn’t do that, I’d just flame sterilize with my propane torch which I also use for heating my dab rig.
Everyone’s bugging about not being able to find iso but I can’t for the life of me understand why it’s to important

I like Iso because it evaporates so quickly and doesn't smell like Lysol does. I think I'm going to go put that album though.... probably be on the second flush by the time the Beat Drops. those damn Melvin's put out like 5 albums a year nowadays
