Sweep, bleach mop, heavily diluted bleach spray surfaces (walls, shelves) my room's mostly plastic.
I do this after I dump dirty substrates or about once a week. Also adding a cleaning of a/c unit intake and outtake.

Or you could just take the tub out of the room. I literally grew mushrooms in a moldy apartment, there was mold in every room. Its not that big of a deal. Make sure your sterile procedure is good and all will be fine.

Once you start seeing spore deposits building up on the walls it's another ball game.
It's all cumulative. Edibles operations are definitely cleaning between rounds so just depends how serious you wanna take it.
Maybe I should clarify if it's a single tub throw the sub in the yard and wash the tub with soap n water.
like any space how long do you leave it without cleaning it anyways? More than a week? I lean towards being more clean, and clean once a week even if there's hasn't been any mold.
I live in a moldy house too.

Typically I do stuff in rounds, I really hate to wash just one or two jars same as tubs. So I'll just freeze the sub right in the tub usually untill that round gets done fruiting then I wash them all. Idk I've never really had much trouble until very recently, I'm jumping back into cultivation again so I'm getting my sterile procedure down again.

If I wanted to drop to WBS jars, should I let the myc fully take over the agar plate or can I drop it like that? Will the exposed uncolonized part of agar fuck with my moisture content or anything? When do you guys drop your agar to grain?
Make sure to stock up coir!

Iβve ordered agar off eBay and theyβve sent me xantham gum powder. Apparently this can be used in the same way as agar. Thereβs not much info on this and Iβm not so sure to be honest.
Anyone had any experience in using this xantham gum instead of agar?

From what I understand there aren't many good substitutes for agar. If they sent you the wrong stuff I'd get a refund and order the right stuff. If you have a Asian market in town they always carry agar powder. I'm sure you probably already knew that though. I prefer to order it online because it's a dollar cheaper per packet off Amazon than of I buy it locally. Plus the Asian store owner is rude AF and they have like a 20 dollar minimum if using plastic.

Gelatin doesn't work very well, it didn't make it through the pc. Heat dentures gelatin, so i had runny plates. It was thicker than just water and lme but it never got hard.

good to know I always thought those might be decent alternatives but have never ventured to try them myself. maybe a cornstarch mixture? us mercans have gummy candy despite not using agaragar like the asian countries so I figured gelatin could work. maybe just gotta dial in the right recipe

Yea my plates never made it to inoculation lol, they were really runny lol. But im pretty sure gelatin is added to a hot glucose mixture, not while it is cooking. Cuz iv also tried cooking the jello mix for mush gummies and they didn't turn out well.
