fellers ;
happy and thankful to report success on the 10 minute vent 2 : 15 hours at 16 - 17 psi cycle , with some water left after the cycle
changes made :
-new, stretched and oiled seal rings -new weights with extra weight on them , not enough had to improvise -adjusted the distance from my burners to the surface PC , making low flame closer and was able to stabilize the weight with medium jiggling , more than i wanted actually but i'll get it better next time ; -put a brick on it to secure it , it was rocking back and forth making the weight jiggle even more

this is how my wheat came out looking

not perfect but! it was still very hot when i took the pic , hopefully it'll look better tomorrow once it's cooled and evaporated a little
this batch i thought was too wet but did the slurry in a hurry thing anyway , today the jars look really good with not a single sign of extra moisture , even though i poured even more liquid into it

these ones were burned a little bit cause the pc ran out of water, dropped agar in it anyway to see what would happen ; this is day 6

wish me luck !

Good luck with that fire hazard of a stove. The ingenuity of people on here scares the shit out of me.

? how come , this burners have a regulator and it's very sturdy , they're actually very efficient , also sitting on top of real stove covered with metal sheet insulation and bricks and cider blocks around it and on the bottom

I mean when they'll fall down and 'die', start rotting in humidity environment.?? When i left, veils breaked and i go back home in about 5-6 days. I didn't even had full flush and had to leave with leaving all shoeboxes fruiting and with fruits alone.

Aka datura stramonium. It will seriously fuck you up. I peeled the spikey flesh off of a large pod and consumed all of the inner flesh and all of the seeds. I couldn't remember who I was for almost 3 days, houses were being sucked into a vortex in the middle of my street just before I was sent to the hospital. I fought nurses and was strapped to a bed after multiple escape attempts from the hospital. There was an telepathic albino dog that that brought me cigarettes that would melt into orange wax all over my arm upon lighting them.the most vivid hallucinations I've ever had. I think I was 18 or so...
datura stramonium poisoning can be fatal, watch out for that, lol.

Re my previous post about heating a closet for fruiting this is what I'm talking about. With one unmodified monotub on the right. 18c is 64f but it's still heating up at the moment. Hoping to get up to 72f. It already feels about 100f in there.
It's a 1500w oil radiator, reputable brand.
Is this crazy? Am I going to burn down the house? Will it be too dry?

FIRE HAZARD!
A heater balanced on a case inside a dry (from the heat) wooden structure.
Secure the heater, and do LOTS of tests before leaving it on over night or while you're gone and even then be careful man. I use space heaters some times for various things but there are just too many things wrong with that picture to not give a warning. No one once their house to burn down, definitely don't want the firefighters finding your grow.

with a space that small, an incandescent bulb may get your heat up to where you want it. If not, see if setting the heater outside of the cabinet will raise the temp in enough inside. It may take longer to get there, but would hold more steady
If you can secure that heater much if the risk goes away, but still, be careful. Don't take chances. Especially if that is in a garage or room people don't often go. You won't know it's on fire until the whole structure is on fire.

It's in a garage outside with temps as low as the 40s so I don't think a bulb would. I know it looks insecure but it's really not but I do get that the dry wood in the vicinity is a concern anyway.

those heaters can pump out a ton of heat , it will definitely cook and dry that closet in the first couple of days
you need it to be secret ? i would insulate the shit out of it and use a very much smaller heat source like a ceramic bulb for warming up chickens ,
theres this thing called radiant guard on amazon , works great to keep the heat in , i use it and loved it , you can put it in the inside walls and keep it secret
good luck !

Thanks I'll look for it now. Yeah my wife doesn't want the kids talking about Dads shrooms at school so I've been told it has to be covert.

I've used both ceramic heat emitters and MVB lights to heat similar enclosures. My dehydrator is a very similar build. I agree insulation and a lesser heat source is your safest bet for both you and your myc. Even just some styrofoam or moving blanket would make a significant difference in inside\outside temp Totally understand the why and didn't mean to come on too strong about the fire safety aspect of it.

I don't really know because it's been a long time but when we used to fuck with acetylene torches and had to cut steel near concrete there as always the risk of the concrete heating up and exploding. It happens unexpectedly too and can be a tad dangerous, in your case possibly more so since if those broke enough the whole pressurecooker would tip.....
That said --
I dunno if the cinder blocks would react the same way, nor if the heat from your burner would come close to even causing that to occur, but I figured I'd throw it out there since it's probably shit you can keep an eye on or even look into (temp limit for the blocks vs. temp your burner flame and shit I dunno)
be safe !!
everyone be safe... stock up on some canned shit and food for your house and just chill out for a while...canada is slowly shuttin everything down it seems. they seem to think there is far more cases a lot of places than they are reporting too, due to a lack of testing....cases in europe are exploding
my school closed down yesterday so my new objective is to just grow hella mushrooms since I am gonna be stuck inside for a while...whole rest of the semester is online and then it's closed after april until september ... right now just the residence stayed open I guess so they don't force people out of their homes
no classes running

I plan for it to be a locked old wardrobe in the garage. I've just knocked out all the shelves and will likely pad with heat retention foil.
I'm basically turning it in to a grow tent/greenhouse now. I know they are hated for shrooms but I'm really limited.
Do I need a humidifier and some kind of fan system?

The whole climate within a climate thing is always a bitch for me. If i was you i wud do something to make the cabinet itself far more insulated. That way any heat produced inside generally stays inside. If done correctly you shudnt need much to maintain optimum temp in that cabinet. Layers of shit with air in between seems to work good at insulating.
