For that price you can get a 23qt presto which is bigger than that and at least you know they reach 15 psi, I doubt that one will even reach 10 psi. Ask Tiamo where he got his, he's also from Europe.

For people who have done blenderless LI vs the Oster blade in mason jar method, was there a notable difference?
Colonization is currently taking too long.

Unsure about the direction I'm going with this hobby. Havent successfully grown any mushrooms worth talking about since I quit PF Tek. Gonna spawn some GT and KSSS here in 3 Dad. Gonna make the coir/verm via bucket Tek, but unsure if they'll turn out. The next run I do I have some SFD lids, I think 7 or 8, so I'll make the jars only half full, and use the blender less LI to try to get those going.
I thought I had the smarts to not gets contams with the WBS, but it isn't been going too well. Always get green mold even with agar. Will keep trying though.

not really sure how surface area has a role in that but I also want to ask is which is better a 1:2 at 2" depth or a 1:1 at 3" depth?
I have 1 qt of spawn that I'd wish to test and some small tupperware containers are all I have to put it in. Note the 3" 1:1 sub has much less surface area as it is in a much smaller container

Yah keep it up! Try pasteurized cvg.. Or PC it. I'm getting inconsistent results with the bucket tbh. I'd rather make it and load up jars.
Give it a shot! Also do a round of cakes to keep your spirits up

I was using hydro-store coir that was treated and everything I put in it turned green. And then as a result of all the mold, some of my cultures got the mold meshed in. Had to buy new coir and start from new spores. Everything is going good now.

Surface area has nothing what so ever to do with yields and spawn ratio has nothing to do with surface area.
1:2 will give you a bit more mass making it easier to keep RH up. 1:1 will give you faster colonisation. I kind of like a thinner sub with a higher spawn rate.
I usually go in the middle. Around 3:5 with a 2.5" sub depth.
