Yeah Faht I’ve had that one come loose too. Just screws back together but it screamed and whistled LOUDLY while at pressure on me one time. That’s a good one to check. Also check on that same safety plug for debris in between the plug and the lid. There’s a little gasket that won’t seal if a little piece of something has worked its way in there.

I’m wondering if the main sealing rings can be brought back to life by boiling. I believe they have a certain water content since it’s rubber.

As for weights I taped on 2 quarters- it’s quiet at 17-18psi with little water loss (only if they are in the very center of the weight) but more quarters would keep it quiet at higher pressure.

20 PSI on a presto. No thanks. With thin aluminum I dont trust it. I can see on a AA which I also oil the metal to metal just for everyone that is enjoying this pressure cooker maintenance class this evening.

AA is a little more heavy duty, but 20 PSI  seems like a like of pressure if one of your seals gives out. I used to get that venting around my plug. Just good maintenance to replace seals every year or so.

A plastic soda bottle has about 50psi on it and that's a little thinner than a presto. I've gone alot higher than 50 in a plastic bottle though. You even seem those little blast caps for soda bottles. I use those at the range I like to fill the bottle up 80-100 psi.

I’ve grown to love my Tefal, even though it doesn’t have a rocker.
It just kinda sizzles for 30 seconds every few minutes.

Anyone got any examples of fruited out grows that started from a pin they cloned from agar?

I’ve just taken a couple of pins off plates and got them growing on agar and just curious on how they typically turn out.

Theyre usually on the faster side of things but noone can truly tell you how it will perform. Just have to try it out and see. Time to run some shoeboxes or cakes and get to testin. More data means better science, dont base it all on how it performs one time, do it at least 3-4 time to be sure its not just a fluke, i generally fruit a shoebox then a mono then another mono and if I still like it I keep it around lol. I’m pretty bad at culture storage tbh but I’m always germinating new spores so fuckit. Trying to get more like Tedsdead about it, he slants it as soon as it looks clean before he even tests it then just throws the slant away if it sucks.

Yeah that’s the plan just gonna test them out.

I’ve just acquired some Pyrex tubes and wooden craft sticks so I’m gonna get slantin’ meself when I get some good cultures. Hoping to get some decent clones off my current projects.

I just dropped a plate pin to grain today for the first time.

Had a sterile jar sitting around for a couple days and a toc pin had popped up today, then I remembered Cronicr doing it pretty recently and the speed was ridiculous so figured I’d give it a shot.

Pretty sure this one is a TOC plate pin.  I'd say it turned out ok :rofl2:

Aha yeah I did see that one, killer grow

Was that from an agar pin clone was it? I’m gonna have another little read through it now. My agar pin is probably related in that case lol

anybody has experience on wheat ?

maybe the quality is shit , should get some high grade grains perhaps ?

maybe wash and rinse?

you guys get this hulls and shit on your grains too ?

No. No. 2x2 is good for all of it but it constricts how much room you have if you got an assembly line of agar, jars ,or bags. Bags is a little hard given the height of the bags to do like A2G or G2G.

With a 2x4 or 1.5x4 you have a lot more room from right to left ya know. But if your only doing agar its perfect or even overkill.
But won't you be using jars and grains?
I use my 2x2 for all the stuff mentioned above  and have no issues except tight spaces of the 2x2 flow.

So I didnt do a test plate I did test jars

The Amazonian pin LC went to grains then to this shoebox 1 quart.......

The other jar I had ready to G2G if this was clean exploded and I have a banging invitro grow going on......

This LC will now be used for 10 more jars

--

I made an Atlanta#7 LC and it looks a bit ropey,  mycelium has grown on the jar and I think rocks are forming in there.  I need to test it

--

Love the look and idea of using a whiskey bottle with a little colour, This looks great so will test soon.

--

Any comments will be much appreciated...  Im enjoying LC work alongside my standard shiz.........

This turned into an complete banger and I got 1.5 oz dry from the first flush which is my best ever from a shoebox.  It was only 1 quart and the sub looks fresh and loaded still, crazy how that happens sometimes...

Ive made 4 more jars with it and tossed it before this happened.  It all happened in 24 hours
