Those look more like 16 qt “sweater” boxes than 6 qt shoeboxes.
How many qt of spawn?

Nope there shoeboxes. I been wanting to upgrade to sweater boxes. But there 1 quart spawn- 1 quart sub 1/4 in casing. I got a few madeWith 2 quarts of spawn. I doubt it will make too much of a difference in yield tho

Well it's only happening in the better containers I bet the glass is thicker and that somehow has something to do with it. Have you even messed with no pours at all? Basically if you don't boil the agar first and just heat and dissolve the agar then pour them you can sometimes get a batch that won't solidify. Making sure the agar reaches a light boil before pouring into no pours ensures solidifying every time. The PC cycle should be getting it got enough but try boiling beforehand I'm willing to bet this fixes the problem. Idk why it would only happen in those bottles though. That's pretty weird.

I'll try going hotter when mixing. So far it's hasn't cause an issue in my plates, more of curiosity right now, but curiosities eat at my brain if I don't try to figure them out. The only Pyrex aspect is weird. I though maybe some kind of coating on the glass but that was a sheer guess. It will be a while before I need to make more but I'll check after I pour from mixing beaker to bottles to see if the cadamada and Pyrex cool at different rates.
I tried no pour early on when I started. I hated them Since them I have seen the holy Grail no pour plates and those may convince me to try again, but meh. Pouring plates is easy enough and enjoyable for me. Same thought about the PC cycle. It should reach more than hot enough, but may it has just separated too much by that point. If I melt in microwave and shake just before it solidifies, or shake and pour, it still works as normal. Just weird. I may pour more plates today. If so, I'll try another batch in the Pyrex bottle just to see if they do it again. Thanks for the input man gizmo!

Ya I like plates too, Nerds just wanna...
Hey can I get a call on this fuzzyness?
You see they're pretty sealed up, but I've started onpening them up in the morning and wiping the water off the lids.

Edit: Ok, noobie overkill...they've got a good head start now... I'll get rid of the tubs.

Get them out of those totes. You can get cobweb mold going if there is no air exchange.

What does it mean to "self" genetics? I am trying to read through this thread on golden halos wish dude didnt get upset and delete his posts but
anyways, I am just trying to understand some terminology better, or what that means that it was "selfed" to many times is that like a clone of a clone of a clone situation?

Man now I’m hooked into that thread.
I’d guess selfing refers to going back to the original spores but I have no idea.

I would assume it’s what you said cam, cloning a sample from each new grow and narrowing genetic too far, leading possibly to scenesence? Although all of our TCs say we probably won’t see that problem, if you have a clone culture that’s already genetically Narrow, and you continue to narrow genetics, I feel like you might have a problem with that.
I haven’t started that thread yet though so I’m prob wrong lol
