Depends how much you pour in.
Mine I poured prob an inch of colonized grain into 2/3 full quarts and it took a week.
It’s pretty much like skipping right to the point where you’ve shaken an a2g jar.

I just came across your thread, good luck man you should have a nice rw stockpile.
I only did shoeboxes so far and just spawned my first bigger tub also.
Pretty excited about it but still sketches me out putting so much spawn in one spot lol.
Gotta get through the first one to get rid of that worry.

rezasmith said: hello so i have a bunch of questions : firstly im a first timer and i bought some agar plate (ecuador) and i prepared oats in 2 jars its been 24days and during this time i shaken the jars twice but ever since the second shake (like a week ago) i think its pretty much stalling but i cant detect any sign of contam(not sure about this) and sadly i stored my agar plate in the freezer and i think i pretty much killed it so now i was wondering if i can take a piece of the grain (that is stalled) and transfer it to liquid culture? here you can see a bunch of pics from the jar(all pics are from the same jar) : https://imgur.com/a/zbJnvvA
Even if you froze your plates you can fix them by heating under sterile (or semi-sterile) condition until the agar melts again. If they had cultures on them and you froze them yeah that's not so good. It'd be better than trying stalled grain into LC due to the possibility of unseen contams.
You want to get the culture on agar and sort it out first...
The jars look OK but maybe there's no gas exchange (filter)?

So I have a shoebox of costa rica that is putting out what looks like white blobs(they are still tiny so it may be too early to tell). I was almost sure I didnt mislabel so I went to check the syringe and the spores are white. I wont name the vendor but the syringe came from one of our very reputable sponsors. Whats the chance that it is APE that was mislabeled? I've got pics but cant upload now because the uploading feature is temporarily disabled. Will pist pics when im able to.

I have a syringe of Costa and they're definitely not white. You got something for sure. They might be ape, little white balls? That sounded horrible

Yea more of blobs than balls I'd say. Im just excited to see what happens. I have some apes going too but I didnt get the ape culture until after this was spawned so I know I didn't mix that up with this.

This is the Costa Rica syringe and shoe box. Tub took a little over a month to pin and costa has always been fast for me. Those dont look like regular pins to me. Then there's the spores they look either albino or maybe like they've germed. The syringe was clean on agar though.

Perhaps it has to do with number of pints grain steamed at one time. Possibly the key may be in filling 1/2pints completely and only a few at a time. Also, i wud steam for two hrs standard. We'll see wat kinda nonsense i get myself into eventually. Thnx 4 response homie
