Agreed if he doesn't have a Facebook and works there. Probably a good reason not to have one.

Can I clone a grocery store bought yellow oyster on agar? I don't see a reason why not. Just take a bit of tissue from inside the stipe?

Sure can. I cloned a store bought button mushroom once. Sometimes the resulting culture will be weak because it has already been expanded ad infinitum.

It's never worked out for me. I tried a couple times and the culture was worn out. I've seen others have good results though. Just luck of the draw.

Got a question. I'll be buying rye or wheat soon, have to decide which one yet. Since I won't know the initial endospore count of my grains, I want to go overkill and pc them in quart jars for 3 hours at 15 psi, and if it all goes well I'll progressively reduce the time in subsequent pc runs.
Is there a downside to cooking for that long? Can I fuck up my grains?

I thought wheat and rye were the same thing TIL Go with wheat cause it's cooler!

You could potentially dry out your grains. I do quarts for 2.5 hours

Lmfao I guess so I'm glad that knowledge hasn't affected my grows in any way. Everytime I searched for rye berries all I could find were wheat kernels. Figured rye was some sort of American slang term. Go for the wheat man!

My old PCs maxed out at 11.6 PSI. I had issues untill I started running it for 2.5 hours.
