lol right.
And if you harvest them before you leave you might as well soak it before you go to save a few days. Might come home to some pins.
I gotta say that’s the best I’ve seen from a kit so far.

I’m pretty sure that those missing wedges are a hidden contam or something like that I’ve had the same issue and usually by plate two or three it’s gone.

Thats what I like to hear. Lost another tub to mold today I was on the verge of being discouraged. I was actually able to grow once upon a time. I'll get it back.

I did follow directions but put the bag in the tote. It was my first mushcult experience so I didn't really know what I was doing back then. Also the directions on these kits suck. They tell you to coldshock and dunk in fridge for 12 to 24 hrs and stuff like that but the culture was high quality. I'm still growing with the clones I took from that kit.

Lol yeah that’s what I meant - the instructions suck. If they tell you to cold-shock, I wouldn’t be surprised if the kits are started from MS->grain, or if a bunch of other outdated techniques are used.
Making mush from scratch is so much more fulfilling too..

Absolutely! However, it gave fruits, clones and prints to trade over here and it did kinda kickstart our mushroom adventure. Let's say it was 29 euros well spent

Oh i'd imagine a percentage of kits to work quite well. Many people use them to get a handful of fruits without having to learn too much nonsense. I heard somewhere that people were knocking up bags of uncle benny's good old nutrient deficient rice. I guess ya jst cook that shit in the bag it comes in and meatblast some boomer jizz in there. Or something like that. No optimum lol but idk prolly works.

What do you think would be a better model for a complete beginner's tub, Bod's or Frank's? They pick different substrate (oat vs birdseed), craft the tub differently, all that stuff varies slightly. Obviously success will only come from time and your skill at growing, not the specific tek chosen, but I'm curious if the greater attention to detail and precision in Frank's guide is somehow worth the additional cost and learning curve.
