These second flush PE are the opposite of the first ones.
Do those look ready or need another day or two?
I’m hoping they’ll print, looks like there’s a decent amount of spores.

How long do 2-4kg wood chip bags usually take to colonise?

And this is hard to see in picture. I shook this about 4 days ago and the myc has spread everywhere. Do I need to let it consolidate? It's already consolidated one day after recovery. The pic looks bad. It looks like bacteria, but yesterday it wasn't like that. Dry, no wet spots. I think it's condensation from temp swing. Not sure. But it's ok to spawn now or wait another day or so? It's a big pickle jar or AA+ A2G noc'd up 12-23-19.

First time this has happened. I didn't get to these guy in time. They were meant for G2G but they got impatient. I can't get the grain out without smashing on a bike tire. So what you guys think: should I case the jar and let the go as, or say fuck these few fruits, smash em up, pick out the fruits and use for transfers?

I'd imagine a bike tire being too soft. If i have a stubborn jar i'll beat the shit outta my knee with it or smack the heal of my tactical boots. It's my suggestion that you smack the jar on one of its rounded courners. I've had a few explode on me and let me tell you, it'll fuck you up.
If not then hell yes break the jar, no question. You can buy another jar. That's life in there.

I ride my bike to work and such (or did) so bike sits in my living room. It works great actually. I know some people use a basketball.
*Just realized while typing that I said smash and that may have been misleading. No intention of breaking the jar, just concerned breaking up the grain with destroy the fruits.
I have 3 pts of WBS I had planned on using for G2G and 2 of the 3 have fruits. I guess i could just use the 1 and spawn the 2. Just was looking forward to a bunch of qt jars out if this to go to monos instead of the minis I've been doing.
I'll bust them up and see how they look and decide. May split them up or something.

I'd stick to your plan of G2G. Pick the fruits out for a snack micro dose while you work.

Word, right on. I'll give that a go.
A thought: I have a bunch of poppy pods left over from tea. Could they be used in sub? I'm not expecting the fruits to contain any of the alkaloids from the pods, but thought it may fill role of straw and would be another use for the pods instead just trash after tea runs. Thoughts?

Not sure if this is your concern but i dnt thnk there is anything wrong with smashed up sterile pins in a sub. It'll jst make more. Might not be wat your getting at cuz it seems odd you wud be concerned about a couple pins.

has anyone ever found trich growing on the residual coir left in the bucket from bucket teking?? so, I preped some coir with cold tap water maybe a week before xmas and let it sit in a tote until now. spawned some jars to bags with it a couple days ago no problems. gonna bulk it up to some tubs today. I think if stored under proper conditions coir could sit prepped, indefinitely and still be used without problem.

I'm having the pic problem too
Just got my light and a bunch of tubs, and my timer. Grow area is full set up finally after months of budget purchasing.
The area is odd sized and shaped and just fits a boombox and shoeboxes. Need to test a 28qt mono.
All in all I got light at timer for 15 bucks, cooler for bucket tek for free but its dirty looking, and my pc for 20 bucks.
I really just need a dehydrator, some more jars, my new favorite container for pastys, I want to go to the plastic jar lids and sfds. I really cant justify buying a whole 12 pack of sfds when I most likely need 3. I also hear the cheap walmart plastic jar lids are garbage.
My local feed store has a martha for 15 bucks I'm looking at now too, this hobby could spiral pretty easy.

I have from one brand. Never had it happen with Eco Earth. I leave hydrated coco sitting around until the next spawning, so can be sitting there for a month. Also, started experiementing with doing some coco w/boiling water and others with warm water. Its looking pretty good, good enough to start switching all coco prep to no boil. Waiting for it to cool down in a cooler takes too long.

My last batch of coir would actually grow mold on the sub surface after hydration both after being bucket tekked and sterilized.

I have left coir\verm mixed and hydrated in bucket for weeks with no issues. Only used the reptile bedding eco earth, and whatever this brand is.
