Lol I’m sure it’ll work. I always fill the bucket of seed with water and scoop out everything that floats with a strainer.
Pe6 is crossed with TOC right? Does it still have crazy potency? The ones in that dehydrator pic look like normal cubes, could get intense if there was a mix up.
Thanks man, I hopefully would have caught that when my brain was functioning at bit more

Hey peeps, I've dropped pics of these jars before and most feedback was what I expected...they are bacterial, start over.
They were noc'd from MSS. I know, not the recommended approach. I've been having trouble with agar so I thought it would be a good learning experience to do this while I'm at it. Kinda get one run going. If I'm gonna fumble in the beginning I'd rather it be with this, than with agar that I put lots of work into. The plan is to use a shoebox tek with 1 jar & coco coir, each.
So, with that in mind, do these jars really look that terrible?

They dont look the best but you might get a couple of flushes if you are lucky.

Thanks! Honestly, I'd be okay with one flush. Anything more would be gravy.

Does anybody else have PE that runs plates and grain super fast and aggressively?? Some of my fastest thickest myc growth is from PE it’s so weird that it takes forever to fruit. I think my shoeboxes just took 9 days for second flush pins to show.

Nah, I've spawned way worse jars and got two healthy flushes out of them. If you have an extra shoebox around, spawn em. They aren't awesome but if you don't have anything else lined up, you'll probably get a flush or two.

Yep both my sw and homestead lineages colonize very quick ( 10 to 12 days for a master)

Hello my fellow psychonauts-
Please excuse me if I've inserted this message in the wrong thread. I'm still learning my way around here.
I wanted to start a new thread but don't know how, and thought this might be a good spot to start since I read "general cultivation."
I'm a noob and this post is about my first ever flush which has been plentiful (by my standards) but impotent psychoactively. I'm hoping someone might have some idea as to why...
So, I'm a newbie when it comes to cultivating (not consuming). I've read many threads here on shroomery.org, over time, which have helped me greatly in my first cultivation efforts. Now I've harvested my first Golden Teacher/BRF flush and am sharing pics to give an idea of my current situation.
I'm dumbfounded as to why such beautiful, lush-looking cubes are not yielding a trip of any sort. In my mind they are undoubtedly the strain that the spore syringe label says they are: Golden Teacher. Anyone could identify them as such (no?). I purchased the spores online from the spore-depot and have been carefully reading and following grow-steps with much anticipation, but only to apparently be deceived by my own methods perhaps as I don't know what has caused my first flush to be impotent. Have I done something wrong? I started colonizing 4 BRF jars with Verm on Oct.20th 2019. All pressure cooked, never any signs of contams. They were completely colonized by Dec. 1st 2019. Two of them showed pins by end of December (around the 28th) and I decided to grow 2 of them in-vitro. The other 2 jars I dunked and rolled, then placed in FC. Everything went as planned -despite how long everything took, and I'm guessing they took longer due to the volatile temps as winter had set in but, some days continued hot as ever (this is cental Florida, U.S.).
I would say my srhooms are 'weak' in potency but that would be wishful thinking. I'm a relatively slim person, weighing close to 190 lbs (so, I don't think it's a body-mass issue). -I ate 10 grams of fresh mushies on an empty stomach yesterday and waited hours for a trip that never came. So, this morning -again on an empty stomach- I ingested 40 grams (see pic) and again all I felt was jittery (probably the coffee I had as I waited and waited). After 2 hours waiting, I decided to dry out at least 4 grams. I placed them under the fan for 3 hours or so, until they became crumbly and dry, and the caps were really golden and yummy looking (I love the taste of all edible mushrooms btw, and I ate them straight, with no food). I'm very disappointed but hopeful that my second flush might be THE ONE. It's been 7 or so years since I tripped. The images will show that they are evidently (IMO) the real thing but, they're duds on the inside. Has anyone ever had this issue? Am I immune to Cubies? I don't know what to think anymore and was looking to have someone shine some light on this for me. Could it be that sometimes the real stuff doesn't come until the 2nd or 3rd flush?? -Thanks for any info you might provide!!!

aaayyee buddy, hope you are well, looks like you been doing some killer work with exotics lately!
do you know if anyone did anything with the genetics from that big giveaway i did a while back? really curious to see if anyone got anything cool off that AA+ Monster line (the one i got the 3500g flush and 295g fruit off of )
sucks that Mycolorado is mia, i liked that dude a lot. when were your stones grow experiments? i ended up fruiting my mexicanas instead of going for stones, and holy fuck they turned out potent. really enjoyed playing with exotics over the last few years

I have a Wild idea, want to get advice before I waste some resources, and here because it's a bit too dumb for a dedicated thread
what if I were to make a shoebox of just coco coir and inoculate it with s spore syringe? would it grow? my thoughts are it wouldn't be as contam prone as grain or BRF cakes and save the effort of spawning at the cost of maybe taking a long time from spore to dehydrator
if it sounds plausible, but no one's done it before, I'll give it a try when I get around to making spore syringes so I don't waste the money of a brand new one

Seeing as PCing jars with foil is outdated is it safe to assume it is not necessary for agar as well?
