I’m gonna get a minipleat 24x24 hepa H14 filter with a 80pa pressure drop.
24x24 means I need around 400cfm right? At the relevant pressure drop.
Say add 50pa for a pre filter that means I need around 400cfm or more at about 130pa
I posted elsewhere with little response so thought I’d put it here...here’s a chart of the curve of the fan I’m thinking of getting to go with said filter...I would appreciate some experienced input as these aren’t small purchases and I’m aching to get this project on the go
Mush love

This looks ok to me but what I would say is the controller I have that works fan speed was bought so that as the filter gets older I can increase the speed so it pushes harder through all the shit.
As long as you get a decent airflow through it you should be rocking. I think we all over think it at the beginning and then realise as long as you have some kind of constant sterile airflow it will work.
This guy is the other extreme, and in some way I think hes right.

Not even registering on the vent. I always us AA so I'm not used to there being zero pressure even though the vent is over and I have the weight on.

Tap the gauge with your finger. Some debri of some sort could be holding the needle.
Also, the presto takes longer to get to pressure than my AA. Just be patient if tapping the gauge doesnt do anything

What kind of lids are you using? I prefer to leave all my lids on the loose side. If you over tighten metal lids they get stuck if you overtighten plastic it ruins the lid. So if they are filtered lids go ahead and ever so slightly tighten them. If unmodified leave them backed off a good quarter of a turn.

That sketchy tub actually pulled through.
There's something funky in those corners, but there are a few mushrooms throughout the tub. As nice as it would have been to have my first tub be a complete success, I'm just happy I can clone one of the survivors and improve based on what I learned for my next tub.
Check it out:

Also got some WBS, just to mess around with and also as a back up if I can't get these oats down. Are these ingredients all good? I don't see cracked corn or fruits in it.

It says raisins and cherries!!
Lol I’m sure it’ll work. I always fill the bucket of seed with water and scoop out everything that floats with a strainer.
Pe6 is crossed with TOC right? Does it still have crazy potency? The ones in that dehydrator pic look like normal cubes, could get intense if there was a mix up.

not sure about those raisins and cherries, or the added vitamins supplements and artificial flavoring. I have never used it so I can't say it won't work, but that would be my concern

I have only ate PE6 maybe 6 times. I'd say it's normal cube potency. Definitely not as potent as the PE I've grown.

My gauge used to get stuck at 15, I’d tap it and it would scare the shit out of me it would be so high sometimes lol. I stopped being lazy and changed the gauge as I had a spare one at home already
As for the flow hood, I used the fan I was given for free. I did not calculate anything. It was a furnace blower, which I set to the lowest setting then messed with pre filtres till I got the desired flow. Not much help but what I’m saying is it can be easily manipulated as long as it’s over what you need.

Pop the plastic face off the gauge, and make sure the cardboard backing (where the numbers are printed) isn't tripping the needle up. Happened to me recently.

I feel like I should plan that one. I am printing it. I don't know how well it will work. I am scared to eat that at this point. I'm not a vet at eating these like I am L.
