So I have a package I've been tracking. Says it's due to arrive today.
Also says it's at the post office. In Grand Prairie Texas.
I'm very, very far away from Texas. Trying to decipher what's going on.
Vendor gave me someone else's tracking number possibly? Cuz I really hope he didn't send my package to fucking Texas....

No, but its good practice
Good practice for if you ever work with manure or peat based casings in the future is the only benefit I can think of. Some people like to PC coir further cooking and breaking it down making it easier for myc to consume so they say, I've never tried it, always used the bucket cause it's easy but you can pretty much do what you want with CVG.

Same thing happened to me once, it was a shipping error, contact them by the phone # or email on their site to see if maybe they just gave you the wrong T#. If I remember right they ended up throwing in something for free.

Anyone have any experience with "A strain"?
Got a print from an overseas member and he says it's a somewhat rare strain, and upon google searching and shroomery searching, that seems to be the case. can't find a lot of info or grows of this strain.
Anyone here ever work with it and have any comments or opinions about it?

Just knocked up 26 quarts of rye. 4x APE pin clone, 4x Ps. tamp., 9x Black Poplar, 9x Wine Cap. I'm excited to finally get some APE going, running two mini monos if all goes to plan.

Yep! Well, not the exact same plate but it's the same clone. The myc turned so blue it was almost black when I cut through it, pretty cool looking.

Well the most recent tub I started I tried making the sub have a little less water content and the tub is looking really healthy right now, way better than any of the last ones I've started. Is it possible the root of all my contams was too wet of a sub? I know theoretically, and quite possibly my problem was within my spawn, because from what I've gathered that's where most contams stem from. But I'm just curious. Thanks to anyone who gives me their 2 cents about this.

lol did you quote yourself to bump a question??
its always better to be on the dry side IMO. its like cooking. you can always add but you cant subtract.. in regards to salt.. anyway its hard to say if thats what caused all the contams. ive found 90% of my contams come from spawn that raised an eyebrow but i spawned anyway.

lol yes I did. And yeah I feel the same way. I know for a fact that some of the jars I spawned definitely raised an eyebrow, but I gave it a good hard look over and it smelled alright so I just kinda said fuck it. And nice analogy, yeah definitely gonna keep things on the drier side from now on. Gotta get more jars colonizing

Don't be saying shit like that... you didn't look very hard if that's the case. Why get APE from anywhere other than where it originated?

Yeah let's not discuss specific vendors in the context of cultivation but I wouldn't bother getting it from anywhere but the source. Stands to reason those genetics would be the least likely to have experienced degradation.
