Use 2 pieces of tyvek. It turns a 2 piece banded lid into a one piece lid
One under the lid and one over the lid

I have plenty of SFD and multiple tubes of red RTV. Pair that with my drill and all the original unused banded lids and I've got plenty to work with.

Does anyone know how long pasteurized manure/straw substrate stays good? I pasteurized more than I needed about 2 weeks ago so I have 4 jars that have been sitting and now I’m ready to use them. Should I just make a new batch or give them a go if they still smell good?

There is something up with mushroom boys, especially
them mycelium kids. I can tell. Some of them will pop up of the substrate immediatly, some will just lie there and play dead, others will just slowly start to do something, anything at all
they cant be trusted most of what they do they are doing on purpose

I was pretty baffled at first but I’m pretty sure it’s one of those Bundt cake things or whatever they’re called where the middle is hollow so there’s a little plastic table in the center.

Ah yes, of course. For moment I thought mea had aquired my staff of power, which may be worrisome, but that makes more sense.

I figured out the widemouth thing after I already had a metric ass ton of 70mm lids. Too stubborn to change now. Bike tire to the rescue.Quote:

\_/ = no shoulder! fox moulder... (works good for all grow containers too
Randalf, some prefer the regular mouth for the easier control during g2g. but for pucks and cakes, they gotta come out someway...the things missed during prep that become painfully obvious later

What varieties are people's workhorses? Looking for something that yields well, grows fast, and has decent potency. Right now for me personally, its Mazatapec's. Is a fast culture on grains, easy to see clean cultures on agar, and fruits large fruit. And don't say a cube is a cube.
