These look pretty good for plates. PP5 printed right on the lid. I'm gonna go ahead and order them. Let you all know how they work out.

They look good but are pretty big, 4oz containers are easier to work with.
Edit: it says 2 oz, don't know how I read 8

This looks like the thread for me...I'm new and don't really know what I'm doing, but managed to get some things growing with all the info on this site. There are little guys and bigger guys and some really weird guys .
Below are some pics. If anyone has advice based on what they see, I'm ears.

You really used all the information on this site That chamber is a combination of monotub, shotgun fruiting chamber and poor man's pod
They look wet and could use more FAE, for your next grow you can build a "shotgun fruiting chamber" (SGFC). That's your best bet to get them rolling IMO

welcome aboard!
some general rules for beginners: - fruiting chambers are to be made 100% to spec. do not try to design your own fruiting chamber. - do not mix and match fruiting chamber designs. pic one and go with it. - electronics, gizmos, pumps, heating pads, etc... are all unnecessary and should not be used
when you have some free time, build the Shotgun Fruiting Chamber. its the best FC for your use. buy a 66qt plastic tote and follow this: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20195542/fpart/all/vc/1

I see, assuming mine have quite a way to go then? Originally wanted to fruit these in a mini, but they looked kinda bacterial so I decided not to.

Seems like keeping them in the jar would just make it worse? Nice grow! I need to try another species

Kinda regretting not spawning them to the tub to be honest. I think they would have been fine.

they grow pretty slow and its hard to know when they are done. ive only had a few grows with them, so my experience is limited, but they should be done around 5"-6". it might another week or so. make sure u dont let the humidity drop or they will abort and the whole fruit will just turn blue. those tiny little fruits can dry out really quick without proper humidity. dont be surprised if some do that anyway.
kenetic: imo, its best practices not to spawn bacterial jars, but rather case them and top fruit them. spawning usually makes a bacterial problem worse by further distributing the bacteria throughout the rest of the spawn and substrate.

insanemike said: I blend until the agar is completely shredded and I still get recovery in 2 days and full colonization in less than 7. But perhaps it's because of my LI recipe. I use 2 agar plates which equal 15ml a piece and blend them up with 75 ml of sterile water. I started off using one plate but did not like the results so I added another. Even with 2 plates it still seemed too watery so I've lowered the water content.
has anyone tried blending like 4 or more plates for LI? it's so easy to expand plates, and it seems like more mycelium per LI would mean faster colonization
