The agar I am working with today. I know the one is bacterial, other than that any favorites from experienced cultivators? Thanks Dick

Damn that blows! I have all my plates on a shelf over my monotub. One day I was checking the monotub and when I stood up I smacked my head on the shelf. It lifted up and my stacks of plated all came crashing down. Luckily it was well after most wedges had already latched on to the agar.

The growth in pic 1 is pretty sexy. Feels like I haven't had any rhyzo growth in ages after my last batch of agar. I definitely haven't had any proper rhyzo growth like that yet either. Hope my new PDA recipe puts out

I knocked over a freshly poured sleeve of dishes a few weeks ago. Used them anyway lol, although I did lose a couple

Wanting to do some SAB and agar work but it's hard with little man running around like a maniac. My wife and I work opposite shifts, I usually have a small few hour window to work on Saturday lol.

How long can you keep a Liquid Innoculant for on the shelf and expect the same results?
I mean, its essentially the same as an LC without any added sugar, right? It has some nutrients from the agar.
Sterilized water, and a clean agar culture, with proper sterile technique should leave you with a clean culture suspended in water. But I feel like I've read experienced cultivators recommend using all of the Li at once, as it doesn't store well. But why? LC can be stored and used for a great amount of time if kept clean.
Can I keep left over Li around for a couple weeks and use it as innoculant without worrying or what's up?

I use LI for long term storage. I've got LIs in my fridge from more than a year ago. IME they store better than slants. On the shelf I usually use them within a few weeks.

I just dont see any point in storing LI. A couple weeks is more than enough time to make new plates for fresh LI.
Also per the tek, u should only be making enough for the # of jars u have. If u have leftovers, thats just extra water u shouldnt have added because it essentially weakened what u did pour.
I know it takes practice to get the pour amount down, but if u have a little extra just pour it all in your last jar. It will explode with growth and reach 100% in like 4-5 days.

I make my LI in 1/2 pint blender jars. Each jar makes 3 60cc syringes. Usually I only need 1 per batch of inoculations. That leaves me with 2 syringes I can use for the next couple batches without having to sterilise more water.

But why would you store a LI for two weeks? You can keep the agar culture in the fridge to stall its growth until you can use it to inoculate and make a fresh LI.
I don't see any problems in what you suggest taking that your agar culture is really clean and doesn't even have a trace of bacteria, but if the culture happens to hide the tiniest amount of bacteria you'd be aiding its fast reproduction by changing to an aqueous media and keeping it stored for 2 weeks.

Why bother making LI twice when you can make a few weeks worth all at once.

Gotta say im a big fan of the blenderless tek. Its my preferred method. Honestly I think it works better if left to sit for a while. The agar gets soggy and the myc really starts to grow. Ive got a couple jars of li left from a couple weeks ago and they look fantastic

Awesome, thank you both! Good shit.
And yeah I know munch, I used the whole jar of Li on 10 jars of grain last time so I made up Li for that but then decided to only do 5 jars of each culture so I ended up with leftovers. I was actually worried I had made the agar too stiff because it didn't break up in my Li very well and when I saw my leftovers I was worried the little splash in the jars wasn't gonna be enough. But 6 days later and my KSSS is almost at 100. APE & Cambo are dragging behind but getting there.
Ah okay maybe that's what I ought to do as well. I've just been using the quart jars thus far and blenderless. For ease. But I should really just rig up a blender set up.. And ahh yes syringes would probably store much safer, and definitely take up less room. Thanks again.
Josex, yeah I've got masters in the fridge, and tons of plates running I could use for new Li. Just was curious if the Li I already have is still useable if I sterilize some new grains. Muda has got me thinking long term now though.

Anybody got a link to the blender less tek? I'm very happy using a blender but I'm curious.
