Is it time to harvest? They're a little smaller than I was imagining. I'm tempted to pick some and wait, but are they at the point where all of the veils are about to break and I should just pick them now?

How do you all think this looks?

The myc is a little thinner than I've had before, but I've also not had a jar that of oats yet that I would consider 100% clean and good for g2g. All been slightly more bacterial and wet, of course. I've read on this thread that myc on oats can look a little thinner/less colonized looking on oats. Idk how true that is though

how long has it been since you shook it? and are those oats? looks like a solid jar to me, maybe a little wet a little less rhizomorphic than id like but i would definitely spawn it to a tub. From the picture i can say that i probably wouldnt expand that but thats just me from the picture. It probably looks bettter in person lol

Yeah man it's really astonishing to watch. There are caps that were round when I got home from work a few hours ago and have flattened out now.

It's probably been 7-10 days since I shook. But I dont believe it took that long for full colonization. It recovered well over first 48 hours. After that, I forgot about it until today, which is about a week or so after the shake. It looks a little better imo in person, but I'm gonna just spawn it. I have some clones coming up I can attempt g2g with. And yeah it is oats. Gonna try wbs this next batch

Stick with oats if they work for ya, theyre cheap. Nothing wrong with em. yeah id spawn that to a shoebox and watch if it does well or not it honestly looks fine to me i just expanded a pretty sketchy jar (smelled just fine but was visually less than appealing) that looked no better or worse than the one you pictured i imiagine itll be fine. Cubes dont always make perfect rhizogrowth.

no, but you may get a vacuum on cool down. I've had the pressure crack certain plastic lids with gaskets

It will more than likely warp whatever you are using and a tight lid will definitely pop.

Made some PF cakes tonight. I made a realization. One mini batch I mixed I did in this order: Verm->BRF->water then mixed. I noticed when I did it in this order, I had a lot of chunky pieces. Ive seen this chunky consistency on pics of new growers doing the PF Tek. I finally realized why their mixtures were coming out so chunky: the order of adding the materials to the mixing bowl was not the best. Order of adding them to the mixing does indeed matter.
Ive found that adding the verm then adding the water then adding the BRF last, then mixing all together is the best way to get the most consistent, uniform mixture.

What is the avery albino? Is this from a shroomery member specifically? Or someone specifically? OR some geographic area?
Forgive me if this has been mentioned previously

I avoid hot water, I mix my brf and verm then add water
