it is cool looking. You should let it go and see how big you can get it.

Then clone it? I'd be interested to see what a culture that will pin on lc will do in a monotub.

Are these wheat jars too wet to use? The one on the left I gave a shake, this is about 12 hours after cooking. First time PCing grains and followed aliens wheat tek to a T they passed the paper towel test and the hand test, worried the condensation on the inside will wet the filter

Those do look like they may be a tad wet but I'd shake them up and see how they look in a little while.

I've grown the same MS culture, same LC, it put this out

(shoebox) (mono)

I dunno about a clone though, also, that has probably been the same size for 3-4 weeks now. I don't think they get very large. I'll take a picture of the other LC jar, it has a fairly large pin compared to that but it also stopped growing.

Alright i know its a little hard to see but does this look like its about to turn to anyone? I wasnt expecting pins for another 3 days or so and none of the other tubs spawned at the same time are near full colonization... and the pinset looks like shit to boot with all of these fucking side pins... Since this picture i've offset the lid to allow all the water to evaporate and hopefully even out the pinset, but this just looks like the tub is trying to fight something

There was juice squeezed from mush. Enough to fill a similar jar 2/3 and a medium mush grew and fell in the juice. We gave it to the guy on the couch and he got stuck in the corner of the living room. It wasn't a cultivation. It just happened.

So while we are talking lids, last time I remember using pasty’s unmodified lids, is that still a thing or do we still like holes in our jars??

Whats the consensus on wether or not eating colonized grains gets you high?
I threw out some past their prime bags and my cat was eating them all day. Now shes prancing around excitedly and being unusually vocal.

I have a question about slanting cloned cultures. So say you have a clone plate. You use most of it to inoculate jars and transfer a little to a new plate to preserve the culture. Then after growing out the culture, you really like it. You take a little piece of the plate you used to save the culture and slant it. Does this limit the genetics from the the clone culture in a noticeable way or could you expect it to be basically the same as the culture you grew out?

Have fun finding an absolute answer to that question.
