Lol, look at that sad, neglected SAB. Banished down into the darkness like a common storage tote ever since the new hotness moved in.

Spawn to Substrate Issues/Help
Hello! Long-time Lurker, recently registered... This seasoned amateur could use a little direction…
—PICS— Posting some eye candy in the next post so they can be moved if needed… Please forgive the inquiry... posting some pics to enjoy, thanks! Foil trays are Koh Samui and the cakes are B+
Some history… grew up foraging cattle fields but in these times I don’t care to trespass in the deep south. I’ve always done cakes in half-pint jars ever since the PF ads appeared in High Times. I owe a wealth of added knowledge to this community, so thank you!
As for my issue, I’ve gone to bulk, using Quart jars and coming out with fantastic mycelium to spawn with. Grain-to-Grain transfers has been a breeze with my make-shift flow hood using some HEPA filters, ductwork and Honeywell air cleaner that was collecting dust. (have pics, will try to share tek)
My initial go with foil trays was successful. After first flush, I cut away any trichoderma, flipped, soaked and got more flushes. (see pics). Now I can’t get my trays or tubs to fully colonize once spawned; and if they do colonize, they will not pin. Nothing has changed except outside temps well in 90s. My workspace stays at 72-75F, with the jars at 82F.
Substrate mix: 675gCoir / 2qtsVerm / 1cGyp / 4qts H20 Boiled and soaked 8hrs. Checked for field capacity
Three(fairly mixed) layers of 1-to-1 ratio of spawn-to-substrate. Have used verm casing and substrate casings to success; would like advice. Covered with foil tightly and half dozen pin holes poked thru. Let sit for 10 days and usually ready to put into fruiting chamber.
I've yet to find the specs during these initial ten days of colonization. (Temperature, FAE, moisture level) And if this important. I have seen mention of people leaving at 82F for first 48 to 72 hours after spawning. Any validity to this theory?
Any direction is certainly appreciated! Just picked up a brand new vacuum sealer at goodwill, so considering spawning in bags to better monitor progress; I know I need to colonize in mono-tubs, but my current workspace dictates this method. Thanks much!

This was my second tub following teks from the shroomery. I was pretty happy. Ms-agar-agar-WBS-cvg. I never post because every time I have a question, I find the answer by searching. I’ve done several more tubs since then with equal success. My first tub was almost as good but I didn’t take pics. Thanks to everyone here

I have read a whole lot and searched on here, sometimes only producing dead pages or others mention a link on conditions of incubation after spawning to substrate and before fruiting, didn't see a clear answer on the ...but did find this helpful...

Just needing to get full colonization and pinning, of course...

So, When that happens it means the person copied the "pics" link under their user name?
