They work.

Could go with SFD. Don't even gotta wait for the silicone to dry, just PC em and they cure during the run.

I actually jst did this. Siliconed the sfd on like a half hour b4 PC. Seems fine. I did tape around the edge of the little quarter sized sfd with paper pore tape though.
Does myc take longer to colonize millet? Or has it jst been a while since i've put agar to grain? Cuz this shit seems like it's creaping along.
Many thank you very muches to Verum for turing my on to the sfd way of life.
Also yes polyfill is bullshit. Fuck polyfill right in the nostril.

This might just be a totally incorrect observation, but i feel as though millet seems to take longer because of the sheer amount of grain. There are less oat grains in a quart than there is millet in a quart.

Millet is the hardest grain to hydrate in my opinion. Could be because of under hydration as well

The bird seed I use has a lot of millet. I follow the 24hr soak and 10 min drain. Seems a little damp to start but after PC seems just fine.
