Make the blower removable? If you want it to look like a box in the corner, why not just set a box over the blower when not in use?

here is my hood I used a plastic tub to bog down the blower and cut a hole till the lighter was at a 60 degree
What is the general consensus about grain being on the wet side and the way myc looks while colonizing?
Does it look a bit more translucent?
Since I started boiling the spawn looks different but doesnt seem to be iffy to my just not what I'm used to from soaking..
The grain is absolutely dry on the outside when I load with a boil .. but seems more hydrated on the inside ..where as on a soak it wasnt as hydrated and I'd load a little wet on the outside but would seem not as wet colonizing

I got a pretty good deal on a 24x24 99.99% thankfully
I cant believe im already wishing I had a 48x24 filter.

When you get a decent culture and make a master, how many g2g do you try to get out of that. I had a culture last the whole summer from 1 master as being on the road just didnt have time for the stages.
If you had to grow for maximum quantity what would be your go to method. Testing clones and expanding different species and varieties makes it interesting but if someone asked you to make as much as you possibly can how would you?
Really Ed? I’m literally just about to 24x24 from online this minute

They just put 20% off on as well, that was the main reason I was gonna buy. I’m gonna have a look tomorrow and if it’s not 20% they can do one I’m not buying!!
Had an account with them as well and they seem to have just deactivated it. Done me bloody head in

I think since they are so small, they will be steam sterilized easier, colonize faster, and therefore will be cleaner, and get to fruiting faster.
I plan on dunking them for 6 hours after they are done consolidating, and after every flush, with misting in between.
I use jelly jars almost exclusively for agar work. I'm not pouring thousands of plates so it's just easy to stack 20 jelly jars in the cooker and eliminate a step. As far as using them for grain (or maybe BRF) I do that often with left over grain as a cute thing to have on my desk, but no more than that. If you are looking for an optimal size, I'm really a fan of colonizing pint masters and using them for grain to grain, they're just easier to handle in a SAB.
