10 dog foods, 9 agars,and 500 water?
So to scale that down to pasty plates, that'd be.... 3:2:100?

I'm growing some P. mexicana Jalisco (multi-spore syringe). Going for sclerotia first of course then I'd like to fruit them too. Anyway, I have 11 jars and they seem to be doing well. I used tyvek because this was my first go and it's free. I have a pillow of polyfill and I'll be switching in the future... may even get the fancy filters :P.
Right now i'm wondering about condensation and how much is natural for a successful grow? 9 of 11 are condensation free and 2 are starting to show quite a bit. This is on two of the faster colonizing jars. On the left one of the condensating jars, the right is like the rest. Is this a problem? Oh yeah, inoculation date was 11/2. Thanks!

Any soft agar with lots of nutrition us good for spore germination. 6 days is no big thing though. Somtimes it takes 3 days. Somtimes if takes 2 weeks. Be patient.

I'll keep waiting, but the fact that I've been using only half the potato as the recipe calls for worries me. I was using that for rhizo transfers, which works very well, but I'm not sure less nutes is good for trying to germinate spores.
I'll keep waiting though!

do we have any threads where 2 different people grew from the same culture but used different teks for comparison?
i tried searching a few keywords but nothing. or i suck at utsf
it would only be worth looking at if it was the same culture. basically two shroomerites that know each other and grew the same clone..
or does it go on all the time and im too dense to notice??

It depends. How many plates you want to do? For eight plates you need 1/2 cup of water (120ml) and spores germinate much faster in a softer agar mix (if that's what you're after), so it would be ideal to use the minimun amount of agar-agar that allows solidification, but this is not set in stone because it will depend on the quality of the agar you're using IME.

I feel ya, bro. I have 1 friend who grows too so I at least have someone I can talk with about it but we are both super busy and don't have much time to get together.
He used to be a poster on here but never uses it now. His name is trich_cultivator, he's a pretty good cultivator, despite the irony of his screen name

I attempted to divide by 4. I don't measure in ML so I don't know that scale to begin with. So I took 500 down to 100.
Then 4 into 10, I mistakenly said 3 instead of 2, and the other was off by a few points.
Correct. Math isn't my best point. I'm not trying to be a mathematician?
