Potency wise? Nah. Some non active mushrooms bruise.
My last batch of pe barely bruised at all but 1g makes me undergo an alien autopsy.

They just do that. Blue, green , damn near black , its just different genetics , i think its just the ratio of different alkaloids in it , what those are theres no real answer yet . But dont let the bruising fool ya , ive had intense bruisers be bunk and some not bruise at all even if you tried be off the rails, so dont focus on the blue as a indicator of potency

What can you use instead of parafilm for sealing?

I started with plastic wrap, switched to parafilm just to try it, will be going back to saran wrap when my roll is gone.

Why? I mean im not tryna suck bemis dick here but... I fucking LOVE parafilm. I have the 2 inch roll and i sometimes wrap it around the lid of my CVG bucket while its cooling to keep the nasties from coming in with the cool air.

Cost. I only ever use it for wrapping petris. I'm still new at this, I'm trying out several techniques to see what works for me, so I tried both. Wrapping petris with either one takes about the same level of motor skills. I like how petris stack more evenly with parafilm, though. But the added cost isn't worth it for me.

I still have a huge roll of parafilm lying around. I never use it because cling wrap is easier and doesn't crack. Also, wrapping your bucketed coir is totally unneeded in my opinion.

Sorry dude plastic wrap>parafilm all day
Although I do notice that my cultures wrapped in plastic wrap fuzz up a bit where as my parafilm cultures stay relatively flat. Not sure if this is coincidence, comtam, or if plastic wrap allows so little ge that they get fuzzy. No idea

Id be willing to bet a moderate amount of money that its because of the cling wrap.
Still works tho
