I hear you, I guess I am asking for more personal opinion on this one. I know safest bet is have nothing active lying around. But I love all this, and to keep busy I can legally mess around with edibles using the same supplies and tools.
at the same time, I would like to "hide" my active plates and jars among them. Seeing as one isn't purple and the other blue, I was wondering how easy its passed off without some in depth inquiry
Or am I just thinking like this cause I/We are so exposed to the ins and outs of cult, that for most ppl a jar of bird seed means nothing, let alone some weird shit growing in a tapped up Tupperware container

I live in (redacted). I guarantee you they will prosecute people caught cultivating magic mushrooms here. That loophole in the law is bs

It depends on your security risk. If you got a warrant for a felony then shut it down. If you have a bench warrant for a traffic ticket then go pay that shit off and keep boomin. If you had a nasty breakup with a partner who would steal from you perhaps you should get a storage unit. Similarly so if you got a nosey landlord. Storage units are available with climate control, if need be. I don't know the details so I don't know the risks. You'll have to make the final judgement.

I guess it all comes down to your security risk. I don't think there would be a visible difference between cubes and edibles to most people. As long as you have some fruits to backup your legitimate cultivation claim I feel like that would be enough to suppress the suspicions of the average person. From me personally though, if I saw a jar of grain growing some type of fungus and somebody's closet, my immediate thought would be cubes even before my cultivation days. If you have some family visiting and just don't I want them to know what's going on, I think your plan has potential for success. however if this is more of a long-term situation or a landlord-tenant arrangement that you are dealing with, there is more opportunity and probability for in-depth questioning that may reveal unwanted details. Again, not knowing your situation and you may have already thought of this, but legal consequences may not be the only thing to worry about. It all comes down to how much suspicion is going to cause you problems. Is prosecution you're only concerned or are you at risk of losing a lease or a job or a school enrollment, or even a spouse\SO.
It's a tough call with potentially far reaching consequences that ultimately fall on you. Saving culture for later cultivation is one thing, but I know for me having them around would make it very very tempting to go ahead and try to fruit some real quick which would put you back in the same situation in a potentially more risky scenario. Depending on your risk assessment, I personally I would say either scale back greatly on the cubes and ramp up edibles and just try to fruit one tub at a time in secret (maybe shoebox or minimono), or put cultures in long-term storage and forget they exist until the risk has passed.

Also, just throwing this out there.... I rent my house, which is managed by a property management company. I will always have 48 hours notice if they need access to the house barring an emergency. If they want to do a walk through, I can't deny them access to any rooms in the house. That is a risk I can not negate until I buy a house, which will not be soon. As such, I built a large locking wooden cabinet that can not be seen in from the outside where I keep anything that I couldn't explain away. Because it is not part of the house they have no right to see in it, and because it is locked, suspicion is not enough to open it. Even in a emergency, such as a busted pipe or water heater or something, it protects me from exposure even if I am not there. Of course that only works if I remember to put everything away, but same goes for my weed and pipes so it is what it is... My explanation for the cabinet can be any thing from sex toys to a priceless collection of ceramic cats. It doesn't matter. This is not a perfect solution, but it is an extra layer of protection from unexpected eyes.

Im sorta embarrassed to say, but honestly what happened was: i have two 3 year olds, that I regularly put down for a nap around 7ish. Last Friday the one of them got up, put the harness on my dog, unlocked the deadbolt and took the dog outside. It scares the fuck out of me to think of what if's, but it amounted to a social worker spotting her, and when i didn't file a missing persons report (me and the other child still sleeping) they contacted police, whom found me due to chip on dog, nd they woke us up. My gf was able to get my daughter that night, we had her the rest of the weekend and again this week. But i was charged with endangerment and cps said they are opening a case. That was last Friday and i havent seen or heard from anyone Since then, we broke our lease rules and installed an internal chain like lock on top of the doors. And now just typing this out im realizing its not worth the risk Thank you guys for the feedback, looks like I'm going into active hibernation

Realistically its probably because you're white or a homeowner or both. Which is fucked. But that's how it is in Wisconsin
Ive seen well to do white people get far less scrutiny from CPS for way worse things than anyone brown or living in a trailer or shitty rental for bullshit.

They can demand all they want. It is a lockbox. No different than a safe. I have also finished painting it so looks like a armoire with decorative trim. But again, no matter. Landlord have no legal right to demand me to open my belongings. With or without a lock. The lock is law enforcement. Suspicion alone is not enough to force me to open it. If it ever comes to that, I have a disposal plan already in place. All I need is 5-10mins to remove EVERYTHING incriminating from my property and be back at my house waiting. As I said, nine of this is to eliminate the risk but rather reduce as much as possible.
This is also far from the only handmade wooden structure in my home. I also have a 6-foot enclosure built for my two dragons, I have also built my bedframe and headboard (also with hidden compartments, but not locking) a bookshelf, a "treasure chest" that I carry my quadcopter in (again, with a secret compartment), and a few other smaller things. But again, my goal is to never ever need this thing. It is there as a last line of defense in case I am not home and they need access to the house for some reason.

Just put agar to grains (13 mycoquarts worth) 2 nights ago. Found trich in one of them already.
I got lazy, guys...I did multiple iterations of grain>agar>grain>agar without cleaning the agar in-between ("it looks fine!")
Lesson learned.
It's either that or my sterile technique went from 95% effective to shitty in a matter of a month or two.
