Just my 2 cents, I believe both work well, It's just planing on what tactics you will use for your situation and your climate. Also how well you exicute thoes tactics leading up to your harvest. Each done the right way work well.

they will grow invitro in bags, what does that tell you? Guess what. Spawned a tub for lols with no holes, no lid flipping involved - fruited practically like the others.
They are weeds of organisms but using our brains we know to somewhat recreate their environment (FAE : day 1 kindergarten shroomery term) to reduce a stale stagnant environment which bacteria and mold would love especially in the summer months.
When I opened the tub up you could feel the heat build up more than traditional monos. I'll stick to monotubs, it might be a little bit more work, very light work if you ever worked a hard day in your life. I mean if you want to go the easiest way possible don't even bother flipping the lid. They will fruit just fine, if that's how you wanna grow knowing what we know.
Some dude posted a picture of like half a flush in a sealed garbage bag. It's whatever works for you, it's pretty hard to fuck up. I personally think its worth the effort to increase the fae using the traditional set and forget monotubs style even if it's out of the current styling trend.

Try it like mine. They get more airflow than the stuffed stale holes on a mono. They're open and bigger. You can see the spores deposit all around displaying the air currents when your canopy drops veils

Shaper's shoebox write-up covers pretty much everything for set & forget. As long as you aren't latching your lid shut, or have it wide open, you should be alright. With that white clone(good clone) I keep pulling 1.5oz+ per shoebox.

You can still make that happen, albeit it is a little trickier. The sub is pretty resilient to breaking up, so you can find a tool to get under the bottom and lift it a little, and while simultaneously rotating the tub onto it's side, drag the sub from the bottom to the side.

Flipped the lid about 11 days in on this unmodded. Got about 6 tiny shrooms.

Some shoeboxes and cakes that are on their 5th flush.

Did some searching and it seems the general consensus is that it's not enough to make a difference, but i recently thought about the agar plates i/we throw away. Would there be any benefit in opening the plates before disposal, or making sure the agar is with other organic material to potentially/hopefully expand and consume organic material once it reaches a landfill? I figure best case scenario, it helps reduce the landfill by an insignificant amount. Worst case scenario, nothing really happens. Still seems worth a shot, since there's really no extra effort on my part.

We should be recycling the plastic after disposing the organics.

Maybe I’m just paranoid, ok I’m definitely paranoid, but I’m not sending anything like that out with the garbage.

After each sterile session, I pick up all my garbage by hand out of the little bin I use, such as: plates, paper towels, tape, blade wrappers, Parafilm/cling, etc. And then peel off my glove, wrapping the contents inside it. It's nice and neat and prevents sensitive things from being seen in my main garbage (which the gloves then go into).
When I have to dump large amounts of sub, I use the old grain bags, or the big dog food bags I save. They're super sturdy and solid and I recommend everyone use them.

My plates dont go to landfill. I burn them in the back garden with the rest of my garden waste.
