Some swamp burners might be worth the investment if the stove is burning your time.

Will these LED lights be alright? I just searched waterproof, 5050 RGB and these look like what I think I want. Any feedback mush appreciated

I've found that this just means you're getting the right amount of heat. When I got a new presto (versus my vintage fucker where the gasket broke) it wouldn't do this either. It's because it has a larger footprint than the old one, so there was less "flame over"(?) where the flames will heat the sides too, not just the bottom.
Likely this just means you'll have less overall issues with your PC now. I remember you were having some shit happen with your grains maybe that will go away.

That'd be pretty cool if a new stove helped you out with all that.

Yeah I am waiting to see the new grain in action Haha.. I have lost alot of time due to this grain issue it took me opening up the bags and jars to see the grain was cooked to a burnt crisp
It's just weird cause I havent deviated much in any of my grain prep besides allowing it to dry a little longer and it still wasnt dry at all in the center .. so it has me scratching my head

Whenever I use a new cooking medium (new pan/pot/stove/etc) my cooking always has problems for a couple of months. It took me almost a year to learn how to use cast iron. Even just getting a new stove usually requires a month of re-familiarization... I'm surprised I never put this together with the grain thing earlier (not for your issues, lol, but for me)

Yeah I hate when there are alot of variables to check off looking for the problem .. I have decided to not g2g anything else until the issue is solved cause the masters were all looking great and I have wasted alot I'm pretty livid about it

I dry now till they are pretty much dry on the outside on a window screen I made .. the jars and bags sit with the lids and flaps on and folded I have got bags to colonize finally after loading them a little wetter and bringing down the cook time basically taking them off the stove at the end of the timer .. but like I said I was doing everything the same

I am thinking that last batch of grains were super dirty .. I dont ever rinse and I am getting lost of starchy film on my jars and that's possibly why it is getting caramelized cause I got 6 bags the other day and those all seem to be looking better .. I am going to start rinsing though just to be safe

zup dudes ,
i rinse after the boil and it seems to help a lot to get rid of that starchy look all over the jar , i had that very bad cause the quality of my wheat grains suck , i like washing the gypsum off or coffee if i use it , when i rinse i look at the water and it's super murky even without the gypsum or coffee , i just stop when i see clear water coming out , maybe that'll help and it's super easy

Yeah cleaning ur grains helps definitely.
If I remember right u use wheat well the wheat bran makes a sticky mess.
I just check each bag I open grab a handful of grain.
Then I clean it till the water that comes out looks like cloudy bud light.

I like to rinse after the boil, too but I will do it with boiling water. So when I prep grains I'll have two pots going...one for the grain and one for the rinse. I use milo and that shit can get starchy.
