The species shouldnt matter.
You can do it with mold mycelium as long as.its mycelium.
Have.you tried cleaning em up on brf pucks? Bacteria doesnt.like to spread in brfs

That's what I was talking about for josex. The poke I know doesn't matter, I was talking about poke -> brf puck. Pretty sure I'd have to make up some kind of brf/hwfp puck? I don't know.

Well, for the oysters that would probably produce something, but I'm working on cleaning up cerioporus squamosus (dryad saddle) too, which I don't know if anyone has tried cultivating at home lol.

Agar I'm so far on T2, just picked them a couple weeks ago. I'm going to just aim to grow them out on HWFP and see what happens. The myc also grows out black on agar like black morels do. It's been interesting so far. My main reason to grow them at home will be to harvest them early. They become unedible pretty quickly (get too leather-y), so monitoring them on a home grow will likely be easier to harvest when edible.

That liquid culture jar showed contam signs. Probably from wet filter. Gonna adjust it so the filter is on top and canโt get wet and try again.

I've been growing far too much mold and too few mushrooms. I called the filter company today. Gonna submit a custom order form tomorrow. 32ร36 should be perfect so I can build a box I can load in a passenger vehicle, but is big enough to do big bags. Until it's built I'm going to focus on agar work and cleaning my work/grow space.

Yes there is a draft I used to do this.
But it's only if your moving your arms back and forth on them that it's a problem.

How long are colonized agar plates good to sit at room Temp? Have some Iโm not gonna work with for a few weeks to months, will they be fine to sit or should I put them in the fridge ?

I have a large collection that have been at room temp for over 4 months now, just transferred from 2 of them a couple weeks back and they took to new agar. I don't know what the max is, but I would only worry about refrigerating them if it was going to be for long term storage of over 3-6 months.

From what I've seen they'll eventually start pinning at 6+ weeks. My guess is they'd continue the life cycle followed with decay after that.
