How bad is this idea? Could I place BRF cakes into a blender and mix it into my bulk substrate?

I don't see why it won't work, add water and you got a slurry. Sounds easier just to break or grate, but w/e

You could do the slurry thing. I used use to knock up some WBS jars. They were ugly cause a slurry just looks disgusting but worked very quickly and turned out fine

I see some very small areas that could be contamination but I would definitely fruit them, remove them from the grow area just in case, that way they don't contaminate the others.

I'd keep them in my grow area and just watch them closely. I don't like putting things in the garage (my only suitable back up space) unless they are clearly gone wrong. I don't see anything in those tubs that would cause me to move them to the grave yard yet.

Sending print just between paper is wrong? Like that print came over two months from us and was just between paper, even not in baggie. I have assumed always and when i take prints, i store them in baggie. Shouldn't this print be contaminated, two months shipping seems like lots of bacteria ? Safe to use? Sorry for asking, im noob and finished my first grow. Love this hobby

I'd still try it. Received a few without baggies and it's not like they were trashed. I think the baggie's just for extra protection and some organization, foil can be handled fine once folded up.

If they are wrapped in foil properly they'll be save able. A baggy is not a must but a good idea.

Hey ya'll, I just finished writing/editing my first TEK. It'll likely get absorbed later into a large tek, however if anyone wants to see it in the current form here you go: Small Form Factor Oat Prep and Storage

Nice write up. I like splitting those big bags into 2 tubs as well. Much easier to manage.

Thanks The main reason I thought about doing it honestly because I was paranoid about bugs getting to it. At first I figured it would take me forever to go through 50# and didn't want it sitting in storage getting eaten by bugs only to find it unusable when I went for more.
I don't really state that breaking that bag up into 10c increments is best done in front of a TV, but if you're going to do it overall it saves a ton of time and you can watch a show!

I have one that looks a lot like this and I'm pretty sure it's bacterial. I'm thinking about transferring to some agar with H2O2 to see if I can clear it up.

I can't diagnose shit on agar according to the masters on this here site but I have seen to be hesitant about getting rings in your myc. Another idea besides going with H2O2 agar is Antibacterial Tea Agar. I haven't tried this yet, but it's on my list of shit to get around to trying.

Very good write up! Could be very useful for me because I graduated from BRF cakes today.

Thanks for the tip! Now I'm tempted to do a side by side and see how they perform.
